The only burger we’ll ever put tomatoes on. Especially now that tomatoes are safely back out of season & can’t affect my daily life. We balance them out with applewood bacon, cheese, heinz, best foods & toasted sourdough so fulfilling you’ll feel like you’re on a GLP-Bun. FALL IS HERE AND SO ARE OUR NEW HOURS TUES-SAT 12PM-8PM. We must make new stuff to celebrate autumn’s bounty! BBQ honey mustard for your nuggets & kegs of sparkling iced tea for your refreshment. We’ll have frosty new beers from @irrelevant_beer & @tinygiantsbrewing and a smoky highball cocktail I named after a stallone movie that everyone hates (they hate the movie not the drink, the drink makes you powerful like a 🐍). And then on Wednesday hot dog burgers will finally be back in season & we’re all about seasonality & cornucopias & changing leaves & all that shit taken in Oregon by @sureshotburger

Sure Shot, morning. An anticipatory hush hangs over the dining room before I pop in my chumbawamba cassette and berate the staff to keep quiet & take notes during my pre-shift leadership dance. We’ve been open 3 months now without going out of business even once and I can only attribute that success to our amazing team. And to @spearheadpdx for helping us build such a handsome burgerhäus. This month we’re starting back up the whole online order pickup thing 11-5pm (but no delivery apps!) and we’ll be adding Tuesdays starting on the 15th. The whole retro burger diner thing didn’t work out for us so we’re pivoting to more of a holistic chef-driven burger-forward Cali comfort casual concept. Think West Coast vibes, totally outrageous flavors & just the right amount of in-your-face surf’s up attitude. To be honest even I don’t know what I’m making fun of anymore, I just know we waited until the first week of rain in 4 months to release this very summery burger. We’ve been banned from this year’s Portland Burger Week for juicing to Canseco/McGwire levels. Mostly just roids, a little hgh & a couple gallons of raw unpasteurized sunny d… but our real performance enhancer is this pork belly from the unstoppable @sunricepdx . I’ve been a huge fan since back in their @deadshotpdx days (rip) and am so damn happy with what they’ve done at their spot on Williams. Of our group of early 2020s food popups Sun Rice have always been the trailblazers, showing the rest of us how to do this thing with style. THE SUN SHOT - sun rice lechon kawali, peach mango hot sauce, charred & pickled onion & calamansi mayo. So good it wasn’t allowed to compete in Portland Burger Week, but still won anyway (even though I think I was eating the roids wrong). Thursday only! taken in Portland, Oregon by @sureshotburger

Cheeseburgers & Highballs 🍔

@sureshotburger is slinging some pretty killer cheeseburgers in NE Portland! Some of you may remember that they started off as a food cart and actually found a brick and mortar space remarkably close to their old food cart location.

The new space feels nostalgic and has plenty of seating to share with friends and family. They also have a small menu which is something I personally love to see. I didn’t indulge in their highballs during my visit, but if they’re anything like the rest of their menu, I trust that they are excellent.

The date is July, 28th 2020. I’m young, flirty and absolutely blasting Shania on my iPod shuffle. Crushing peach iced tea snapples in my cutoffs & making this here final driveway cheeseburger before moving into the foodcart. 6 years to the day later and so much has changed - instead of my driveway we have a dilapidated building AND several car parking lot! We’re basically a legitimate grown up fast food chain now, except we’re really slow and nowhere near as good as Panda Express. Oh and we fucking despise AI advertising, subscription models, mailing lists and anything related to private equity or venture capital or member fdic. We’ll be expanding hours soon, but for now come see us 11am-8pm Wed-Sat. Man I feel like a burger! taken in Portland, Oregon by @sureshotburger
