Let’s take questions…

Honoured to be named as one of Guitar World’s ‘Guitarist’s of the Year’ alongside my six string collaborator @jaketkiszka . @guitarworldmagazine

I oftentimes struggle answering the kindness people show in telling me the influence my playing and music has had on their own playing journeys. Though I treasure every word.

Any guitar / playing / gear / performance question…hit me in the comments and I’ll endeavour to get back you in the comments or do a round up.

[EDIT in some way or another as the response has been rather overwhelming] ♥️

Ps) I’ve been lucky to work with some exceptional people. I have found myself embroiled in many a tone quests.

Last year my Mirador side has been built with my 1966 Player Grade Stratocaster (@houseoftonepickups ), Stripped 1970 Les Paul Custom, Gibson CS Trini Lopez and toured with the addition of my beloved Gretsch Falcons, 1930 National Duolian and Mule Mavis.

Special mention to @martinguitar for our otherworldly Martin Mirador Guitars…lots to say there.

Live firepower came in the form of my white @marshallamps JTM45, @orangeamplifiers Custom Shop 50 (which I adore)and @hiwattofficial or Marshall 412s.

Everything on @elixir_strings ♥️

All the love to companies priding themselves in the best of the best and thank for your help x

Playing with the incredible @chrisbuckguitar for @guitarist_mag and @regentsounds on some extraordinary guitars. Such a pleasure.

Playing vintage guitars that have moved through folklore into legend is a rare and inspiring thing…

Although I’m firmly in the camp of ‘you should be able to get it done with a Squier, a blues driver and a SM57, there’s is something special to be close to the guitars that were forged into cult icons by the players that found their voices with them.

These guitars are the tools of the British anti-hero guitar slinger, dragged out of context they defined a cultural shift in rock n’ roll music, so a total thrill to play em in the belly of London’s Denmark Street.

It’s wood, magnets and wire but through the passage of time you can’t help but feel they’re imbued with something beyond that.

The Burst used on ‘Exile On Main Street’, T-Bone Walkers guitar with original bullet hole and a host of other vintage goliaths.

Cheers to my fans that travelled and joined for the exacting geekery x

For those asking I used an 18w handwired @marshallamps and my @cogginsaudio Cogmeister.

Cheers to @guitarist_mag @jamie_dickson_330 @regentsounds @crispin_weir and a host of others for having me and making it happen.

And @bobowootton I’ll take the 58 😂

Not long to go now! Come and hear some of the greatest guitars on earth being played by the stellar talents of @chrisbuckguitar @surfburst this September 16 on London’s historic Denmark Street. From the guitar, above, that gave birth to electric blues, T-Bone Walker’s 1949 ES-5N, to a selection of original 1958-1960 ‘Bursts, rare Golden Era Fender Strats and a unique presentation of rare vintage @rickenbackerofficial guitars with insights from @voxcollector and superb playing from @richardbarrettguitar of the @guitarist_mag Tone Lounge. You won’t see and hear this many Holy Grail guitars in one room, being played so well anywhere else any time soon. Joining the talent on stage will be former and present @guitarist_mag editors Nev Marten and @jamie_dickson_330 to offer insights on the heritage of the historic guitars on show and lead Q&As with the players. So come and join us! Places are limited, book today to avoid disappointment - link in bio. by @surfburst

Met a Rolling Stone & got the nod from Johnny…

The rarest privilege to see and have a moment with a hero Ronnie Wood - as a guitarist, writer and artist he’s always burned with the most brilliant light.

Joe Perry. Nothing else to say.

A Rock N’ Roll communion.

Wonderful to make new friends and always a joy to see the incredible @imeldaofficial do what she does. The band was heavy 🎩

Alice Cooper still scares the shit out of me.
