POSTS STORIES REELS

Finally edited my sessions from @thepalmspringssurfclub Palm Springs has the goods! They video all of your waves, and offer stats on each session. These clips are from three different settings.... the Advanced A frames, Lefts and Rights, and the 5 Slabs. The advanced wave settings have barrel ops, as well as having their own good traits. I suggest starting out at the proper experience level, as surfing in a pool is heart-pounding and new. Everyone at the park is really nice and helpful. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend it. I have already booked my return trip. Thanks for the clothes @solsurfer.santacruz photos📸 @southsidesrfr and thanks for the video clips📸 @flowstate_zone ! @wavepoolmag #thepalmspringssurfclub # pssc #Palmsprings #wavepool #inlandsurfing #wavepool #wavepoolsurfing by @surferwaynekelly

Just wanted to thank @h20winterclassic @mthighsnow @thepalmspringssurfclub for putting on such a rad event! The vibes, format, everything.... was so fun!!!

This reel was from a practice session I did, and theres a few waves from the surfing part of the contest. (wearing a red jersey in the clips) I will be posting snowboarding and more clips of surfing in the future. The pool was on the "Lefts and Rights" session, which is a perfect blend of barrel ops and performance. If you want to try and get barreled a bunch, try the "Advanced A Frames " or "5 Slabs" setting... they won't disappoint.

After my session, I had lunch in the restaurant there. The food was next level! The pool was flat for a while between sessions, but when I looked up, I almost dropped my sandwich. They were testing out a new setting.... and I saw this barreling wave spit soooo hard! I was tripping! Dragon spitters in a pool? It looks like the man behind the curtain is brewing up some tasty new pool spells. I know if you get some friends together and reserve a "Private Session" you can get all the fancy settings.... which are nothing short of amazing really good time.

I love this place! Make sure you reserve your sessions in advance, they fill up fast.

Thanks to everyone that either made this happen, was super cool or kicked down! Really appreciate everyone!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 @thepalmspringssurfclub @mthighsnow @solsurfer.santacruz @capacitybrewing @maxbeach82 @the_dedicateds @kavafornia and @savsbrand @mosslandingshaper @taylor_surfboards_santa_cruz

Pretty stoked to catch the biggest swells so far this season. Lost out of the contest early but had the time of our lives. Shot over 1k photos, sending everyone their shots when I have a chance 🙏🏻🌊🤙🏼 by @surferwaynekelly

To maximize approach, l like to keep an even pressure on my inside rail and draw out a longer line, like the first setup turn in this reel. It put me in a good spot to square off the bottom, and get a better turn down the line.

The goal is to get the most speed out of a sloped area to set up more vertical turns down the line. Some people call a setup turn like this a "down carve". They feel really good, and when you get a steeper section ahead you know it was the right choice.

Retro @surfline clip from that south swell last week. What a great summer of surf! by @surferwaynekelly

When you're one bodyboarder and surfer. Flipped around late cause it was a setwave and no one was going. Wanted to air drop it but I think I made the right choice. Don't want to get hurt out there. 📽 @surfline by @surferwaynekelly

Such a fun day of surfing last week. Here's a few clips off of the @surfline cam. by @surferwaynekelly

At the end of the summer, approaching fall I get a sign from the ocean. Its a few particular reefs that act a particular way that get me excited. I rinse off stashed boards, and get ready in case of an early swell. In the first Pic is part of the Kelly ohana quiver. Starting from L to R. @dick_brewer 10' red board signed by the legend himself. | | @maverickssurfcompany 10'6" yellow old school board (one of Jeff's first shapes I believe) | red white 9'6"collab DV @lokeboards | Red 10' @pearsonarrow shaped by Ed Guzman and Mark. | @9'6" clear triple stringer shaped by Kemper Ohana purchased at @froghouse

Next shot are my first string bigger wave boards. L to R @glenn_minami 7'10" yellow blade (love this board!) @tandcsurf @gpangsurf 7'6" (my favorite) beside it a 7'3" step deck shaped for @billykemper next board is @lostsurfboards @matt_biolos 6'10" shaped for Cole Hx, and last board is an 8' @tandcsurf thank you for the factory hookups @vanceuribe 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Next photo is a custom fin that @rainbowfins made me years ago. 🙏🏻 Thank you for all the help over the years Glen, what a rad human you were. One of my first sponsors when I was a grom. Rest in peace my friend, and much love to Shod and family 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

First surf shot.... poster shot for Low Clothing taken by Mark Whitney, rest in peace my brother 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 @clsurfboards @solsurfer.santacruz

Throwing pixels yesterday it was sooo fun! Surfline Cam is really far away.... Hope everyone is getting waves off these multiple swells! by @surferwaynekelly

Really sad to see the fire in Big Sur getting worse. Definitely new flare ups to the north and east, and now another fire burning near Plaskett Creek. I'm hearing Highway 1 will be closed tomorrow for sure, if not sooner. Please yield to all fire crews on the road, and be aware of loading zones/heavy equipment around the Monterey/ Carmel area. I suggest avoiding Big Sur altogether unless you live there or defending. Praying for the fire crews, residents, and my friends/ family fighting the fire. Please stay safe and make wise choices. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 #timberfire #bigsurfire #thankyoufirefighters by @surferwaynekelly
