Since Surfline and magicseaweed became one, the UK has become a true home for us. From MSW founder and product visionary Ben Freeston, to Welsh Champion and lead forecaster Jamie Bateman, to the engineers building the backbone of Surfline behind the scenes.

We’ll still keep you dialled on @surfline_eur for everything happening across Europe, Middle East and Africa, but this space is different. This is for our unique surf culture, to show you what we’re working on, and how it’s helping you score at home and abroad.

This is Jamie Bateman. If you’ve ever scored a good session in the UK, there’s a solid chance he had something to do with it.

Jamie’s based in South Wales and heads up Surfline’s UK surf forecasting, tracking every swell and weather system that impacts our Isles. Not only is he the brains behind the screen, he’s also a former senior Welsh surfing Champion, and the nicest bloke you could come across.
