The biggest breakdowns often lead to the biggest breakthroughs.

I have not spoken about this much here so far, but over a year ago, I went through the breakup of a three-year relationship that absolutely devastated me.

It led to one of the darkest and most painful times of my life so far. My body was in absolute turmoil from the grief. I was experiencing many physical symptoms all at once, and on top of that, I was barely sleeping. I would wake up several times a night, have nightmares, and sleep very little.

Eventually, in a desperate attempt to find relief, I came across the Yoga Nidra recordings of Ally Boothroyd on YouTube.

Almost immediately, I was able to start sleeping again.

That became a significant turning point in my healing journey.

Ally's recordings felt like a nighttime sanctuary for me. They helped me feel held, cared for, and safe — like a soothing voice gently reminding me that I was okay.

Although I had already been creating guided meditation recordings for a couple of years by that point, I had never delved deeply into Yoga Nidra. But Ally's work inspired me to begin creating Yoga Nidra meditations of my own.

And as my own recordings began to reach an audience, countless people started sharing that they, too, were finding relief from insomnia. In some cases, people have told me they are sleeping well for the first time after years, or even decades, of struggling to rest.

I am so deeply grateful that thousands of people have been able to find rest through these recordings.

And I am immensely grateful that such light could emerge from such a dark time — that what once helped carry me through the night could become something that now helps carry others, too.

Truly epic day in West Sumbawa, where it was absolutely firing with just a few people in the water. Incredibly beautiful place, and such a memorable time with good friends @usmantrioko and @salty_gypsea . Special thank you to @ardhy_wan7233 for sharing your home break with us and always making me feel so welcome <3. And also a massive thank you to @usmantrioko for filming me, in all honesty I should be filming you because you're the pro and so you should be in front of the camera :).
On an unrelated note, my phone broke when I slipped into a tide pool the other day and that's why I haven't been posting stories lately 😅 by @surfplaylove

Bali -> Lombok -> Sumbawa by ferry. This is how our surf trip strike mission is unfolding so far. After almost 20 hours of travel , we are discovering lush beautiful landscapes and amazing waves!!
