Breeders got into the 25th @screamfestla and to celebrate we put together a trailer which we hope will whet the sick appetite of those who’ve yet to be subjected to a screening 👽🛸😱

We’re so excited that this will be our North American premiere! Screamfest is the largest and longest running festival of its kind in the US and John Carpenter and Wes Craven are on their advisory board so that’s good enough for me.

Thanks as ever to @screenireland & @fantasticfilms.ie by @suri_grennell

Breeders went to @odensefilmfestival and had a really cute time: seeing loads of amazing shorts, getting lovely feedback (mostly mots saying they appreciate the revenge vibes 👽🔪), meeting fellow filmmakers and, most importantly, sampling the local dranks (thanks @handsonwine) 10/10 festival experience 🎬 by @suri_grennell

This is the phase of the festival run where I become more and more obsessed with their titles. Next week @trashfilmfestivalkassel and soon @cryptshow (and there are even more excellent festival names to come!) Barcelona, we love you 🍮

Thanks @filmireland for the great review (and spot on observations) for Breeders. Yes Breeders is a gas and gross splatter horror 👽 but it’s also intended to be a scathing indictment of the lack or revocation of, or difficulty of access to, reproductive rights for people with wombs all around the world. Thanks for watching and getting it @aspectsandfacets

Check out their site for reviews of some other unreal shorts. Especially my pal @jamie_o_rourke s latest which there’s a glimpse of in this post by @suri_grennell

Breeders
Dir. Suri Grenell

Screened for @finalgirlsfilmfest as part of their body horror shorts selection, Breeders is an all out assault on the senses providing all the joy of 80's splatter features neatly wrapped in a modern setting with cautionary themes. Everything about this is a delight, from the striking colour palette, the creepy practical effects, our entrancing score and the solid cast performances. The vision from director Suri Grenell is clear and my goodness if this isn't a filmmaker to have on your radar then you're truly missing out! Breeders is currently on the film festival circuit but keep it on your watchlist as no doubt it'll be coming to Earth real soon.

BREEDERS is off to BRAZIL!

This is a big one for our freaky little film, it will play in the 22nd edition of @fantaspoa , a member of the Méliès Federation, an organization that unites 33 of the world’s most important fantastic genre film festivals. Ugh! We’re so excited!! (I would more excited if I was going but I’m still very excited!) by @suri_grennell
