This year, I choose to honour growth over perfection. I have learned that mistakes do not cancel purpose, they clarify it. That falling does not mean failure and starting again is not weakness.

Allah reminded me that “Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear,” and looking back, I see that every season I survived was proof that I was stronger than I knew. Even when I doubted myself, Allah never withdrew His mercy.

Some paths were painful. Some choices were wrong. But none of them were final. Because “Indeed, with hardship comes ease,” and ease found me sometimes quietly, sometimes later but always on time.

I have learned to trust the process, for “Allah is the Best of planners.” To release shame, for “Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” And to stand firm,
knowing that “Whoever puts their trust in Allah He is sufficient for them.”

This birthday is not about age. It is about resilience.
About faith that bent but did not break. About becoming someone who chooses healing, accountability and hope again and again.

Alhamdulillah for how far I have come. Alhamdulillah for who I am becoming.

Dear younger me,

You were never lost. Allah was always guiding you even when the path felt unclear.

Every mistake you cried over became a lesson wrapped in mercy. Every delay you questioned was divine protection in disguise. Nothing was wasted. Nothing was random.

You stumbled, yes. But you rose again and again with faith stitched into your broken places. You learned that your past is not your prison but a classroom Allah used to shape your heart.

You carried strength quietly. You healed in silence. You trusted Allah on days your faith trembled and that alone was courage.

Today, I honour the woman who kept going. The woman who chose growth over guilt. The woman who learned to lean on Allah instead of drowning in self-blame.

Alhamdulillah for every version of me. The fragile one. The hopeful one. The becoming one.

May Allah continue to soften my heart, steady my steps, forgive my shortcomings and write ease into the chapters ahead.
