What an afternoon. 🚗🔥

Got to spend some incredible time with the legendary @nbcjayleno getting a personal tour of @jaylenosgarage — and let me tell you, the cars are unreal, the energy is electric, and the conversations were even better.

Here’s a fun fact most people don’t know — Jay actually has the original generators from the historic Marsa Power Station in Malta sitting in his garage. As a proud Maltese diplomat, that one hit different. 🇲🇹⚡

Big things are brewing. Two builders in a room with a shared vision… you already know what that means. 👀

Stay tuned — this is just the beginning. 🙌 by @surwess

Everything happens for a reason.- something I truly believe.

$Empires rarely fall because someone stronger shows up. They fall when the people running them forget what made them great. I’m in Rome this week for @aibc.world , and it’s hard to be here without thinking about that. This city is where we come to study the past when we’re trying to work out the future. Media built an empire too. Creators made the films, the shows and the music, and the audiences followed them. Somewhere in the last fifteen years, the platforms in the middle ended up owning the audience, the inventory and the economics. The people the empire was built on now get a licence fee or a fraction of a penny per view. That is the pattern history keeps repeating, and it’s why we built STRMIT.tv the way we did. Every creator, film or brand runs its own MetaCast and keeps the channel, the audience relationship and the economics. MetaScapes, owned by critics, superfans, newspapers and radio DJs, connect thousands of those channels and supply discovery and reach in exchange for upside. An empire that pays its builders in pennies is already on its way to becoming a ruin. by @surwess$

$I'm in Malta for the next 30 days, and this is a rare window Most of my teams are in the US, so the time difference leaves me with a lot of free time while I'm here. Instead of letting that go to waste, I'm opening up a handful of consultancy spots before I fly back. This is the kind of work I normally do at a very different price point. For the next 30 days, I'm making it accessible to Maltese businesses. If you want to: • Streamline how your business runs • Increase your sales • find hidden opportunities in your business sector • create an AI workflow for your business then this is a real chance to make a big move for a fraction of what it would normally cost. Spots are limited and I'll only be here 30 days. DM me and let's talk. #Malta #ScaleYourBusiness #StartupAdvisory #MaltaBusiness by @surwess$

In Vegas for my last two days.

If you’re a content creator, someone working in entertainment, or you just want to talk about where this industry is heading, I’d love to connect.

I’m building STRMIT.tv, a creator-owned streaming platform, and I’m always looking for the people who are actually shaping what comes next, not just talking about it.

Drop a comment or DM me. Let’s grab a coffee or a drink before I fly out. by @surwess

At the 2026 Struck AGM. Today’s panel: Context Is the New Moat.

The whole room is debating AI. Models, memory, who owns the data layer.

Here’s what I kept thinking: for creators, context was always the moat. Your story, your community, the fans who show up in person. AI can generate endless content, but it can’t replace a real artist or a room full of people feeling something together.

That’s why I believe creators and live events are the biggest winners of this new era.

If you’re a creator, musician, or filmmaker and you want to be part of the future of content, reach out. DM me or drop a 🔥 below and let’s talk.

Thanks Struck VC and @adambstruck for bringing the right people into one room.

Dallas I’ve been hearing great things but I need you to show me what you have got!

I’m downtown for the next couple of days.

If you’re building or running a business in entertainment (TV, Music, Film, UGC) or deep in the crypto space, I’d like to sit down with you.

I’m not pitching anything. I want conversations with people who are paying attention to what’s coming next, not what worked last year.

Coffee, lunch, drinks, whatever works. Drop a comment or DM me. by @surwess

Today's office. Dallas skyline, marble table, coffee I forgot to drink.

Last week it was on a cruiseship. Before that a bedroom with a suitcase for a desk.

Nobody posts that part. Everyone posts the skyline.

Every creator trying to change this industry knows the reality. Films finished on a laptop at 3am. Tracks mixed in headphones because the neighbours are asleep. A whole company run out of a phone and a Google Drive. And still people ask where your office is.

Truth is the room never mattered. I've closed things from beautiful offices and lost things from beautiful offices. What kept it alive was being able to say what I'm building in one sentence, the same way, every time, no matter what chair I was in.

Flexible on the where. Rigid on the what.

Change the office as often as you need. Change the message and you start from zero every time.

Drop your current "office" in the comments. Bedroom, car, edit bay, airport gate, in-laws' couch. Let's normalise it. by @surwess

The streaming 2.0 era is here. 🎧

Era one made music infinite and made the artist invisible.

Era two hands the relationship back: artists and fans, connected directly. No middle layer owning the link.

That's what I'll be talking about on stage at Music Summit Malta 🇲🇹 the Mediterranean's first Music Tech Summit, in Valletta on Oct 8 & 9.

And the room is stacked. A few of the names I get to share it with:

🔹 Andreea Magdalina — shesaid.so founder, ADE/Coachella
🔹 Michael "Mick" Wilson — Tech Editor, DJ Mag @mickwilson2000
🔹 Gabriella Heybourne — music ops, ElevenLabs
🔹 Dan Tsu — Lyrix Organix / Glastonbury's The Common @offyellowradio

Huge thanks to Aidan Somers and the whole team for the invite and for building something the region has never had before. 🙌

If you're on the island for it, come say hello. This one's going to be special.

Happy Lucky Birthday Margo 🎂🧡

Last year I missed your birthday because I was travelling, and I promised you, come hell or high water, that I would be on this island ready to celebrate with you and give you every birthday hug and kiss you want.

I made it. I'm here, and all the hugs are loaded and waiting. The love inside me is just waiting to pour out to you.

I still don't know if I'll get to see you today. I still don't know if I'll get to hear your voice. But I'm standing here with a smile on my face and hope in my heart, praying today is the day we get to talk, so I can keep my promise as your loving Dad.

The second you came into this world, you stole my heart, just like you stole your two big sisters' hearts. You are a bundle of joy, full of energy and fiery passion, and no matter what happens, you are going to be an absolute superstar.

I love you so, so much, Margo. I really hope today is the day we get to speak again.

I love you pupa.

Papa 🧡 by @surwess

90 days.

That's how long it's been since I last saw my four beautiful girls. The 3rd of July.

86 days since I last heard their voices.

People say time flies. Not these days. Every single one of them has been long. 90 mornings waking up wondering if today is the day I get to hear "Hi papa." 90 nights going to sleep without it.

They were taken out of my life for no reason. I was in Malta until the 21st of July. I sent videos and messages every day. Sometimes one of my girls would write back "I miss you." When I asked if I could call, the answer was always the same: "I can't." Then they were made to block me completely.

I chose to do this the right way, the legal way. We've been waiting on the courts for almost 3 months. Notice after notice has been sent to my wife, and for months she has avoided receiving them. Every delay costs me more money, and there's a much bigger story behind why money is an issue right now. That's for another day.

In a few days one of my daughters has her lucky birthday. Last year I missed it. Things were bad with her mother and my lawyer advised me to stay out of the country. This year she begged me to be back on the island for it. So I promised myself that come hell or high water, I would be here.

And I am. I'm 5 minutes from my home. I flew in from the West Coast to be in court. And the other side has skipped hearings I traveled to attend. I still can't call my girls, text them, or get a single message to them.

I don't know if I'll see her on her birthday. I don't know if I'll hear my girls' voices before I have to leave again.

My heart breaks every day. 90 days, and it breaks over and over again.

What I've had instead: false allegations, and opposing counsel, the lawyer representing the other side, who refused to have all of us to meet to resolve this out of court. His reason was that I had been arrogant the last time we met. We had NEVER met.

So I wait for the justice system to do its job. Will it? I don't know. I really hope it does.

To my four girls: Daddy is here. Daddy never stopped trying. I love you more than anything. by @surwess

I'm looking for a specific kind of creator.
Not the biggest. Not the most followed. The ones who already know the current model is broken and are ready to do something about it.

Here's who I mean:
You have a real audience. Could be 5,000 people or 5 million. They show up for you, not the algorithm.

You've done the math on what the platforms pay you versus what your audience is actually worth. And it made you angry.

You've thought about owning your distribution and gave up because the tech was too hard, too expensive, or too fragmented.

You want your fans to be more than viewers. You want them to engage, co-create, influence, and own a piece of what you're building together.

If that's you, I want to hear from you.
At STRMIT.tv we're building the rails for creator-owned streaming. Every creator, franchise, and IP owner gets their own MetaCast. Your content, your audience, your monetization, your terms. We're not building the next Netflix. We're building the infrastructure to power the next 10,000.

We launch in October. Before we do, I'm spending time with the creators who will define this era, because they're the ones who should be shaping it.

Comment below or send me a message. Tell me what you make and what's holding you back.

The next era of streaming belongs to the people who create it. I'd rather build it with you than for you. by @surwess
