Final stop - FLORENCE

We did an incredible tour where they took us into the depths of Tuscany, gave us a quick instruction on a Vespa (which 4 out of 5 of us passed 😬) and then cut us loose driving through the Tuscan countryside! It was just WOW!

It’s here where I started researching Tuscan real estate 🫣🤔

After our gorgeous ride, we went to a castle where we learned about wine 🍷 and olive 🫒 oil then had lunch in said castle while sampling their olive oil and wine. Like WHAT life am I living 🤯

For our final dinner we had to try a Florentine steak 🥩 and it was delish! I mean we hadn’t had protein in 8 days but I’m pretty sure it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had!

Also had my first Affegato and I may or may not have licked the cup 🫣

Everyone brought home beautiful leather goods 👜 and a few extra pounds but it was WORTH every penny spent and bite taken!!! by @susanbdukat

Praiano on the Amalfi Coast was our third stop.

We rode the train from Rome to Naples then a driver took us from Naples to Praiano. Driver was for sure the right choice … these Italy drivers took a whole different drivers ed than we did and they ain’t playin!

This place was pure beauty at every twist and turn … and step 🤣! There’s a lot of those!!!

Here we slowed our pace quite a bit, took in the views and sunshine.

We discovered the perfect bar with the best lemon 🍋 drop drinks … (yep, life changing) @cafe_mirante AND they took two of our favorites, caprese and pizza and merged them for another one of my favorite meals!!!

Second stop - ROME

Started off on an Air France ✈️ flight and got rejected with our American 🇺🇸 luggage 🫣 … ended up doing an upgrade which got us their version of first class, checked luggage and access to the lounge where we enjoyed ourselves SO much that we almost missed our flight 🤦🏻‍♀️

Got to our Air BNB and had THE most amazing pizza I’ve ever had! Like life changing!

Recovered from our jet lag we set out to see all the things! I was totally blown away by the history AND the food!

The food was everything I hoped for and more!!!

We ate caprese almost every meal, had gelato sometimes twice a day 🫣 … barely a single drip of water or protein! I mean, cuz when in Rome 🤷🏻‍♀️

We had 2 nonstop days in Rome then headed to the Amalfi Coast 🌊 by @susanbdukat

Recap of our epic trip and reliving it photo by photo ♥️

Flew into Paris and took the town by storm … just kidding, we were jet lagged as hell and barely fumbled our way through to the Eiffel Tower. Which was epic and everything I dreamt of!

But we had so much on our list to see, do and eat and two days was NOT enough in the shape we were in 🥱!!!

Highlight was sitting on the steps at night with the view of the Eiffel Tower, singing along to a great street performer and buying a $25 bottle of wine to share in plastic glasses! I’m not sure if it was the wine, the jet lag, the company, the view or a combination of them all but I got teary on those steps and so thankful at the gift of this trip. It was true magic!

Last weekend we held a small graduation party for Avery at our Dagga Boy Ranch in Luling. I loved celebrating her and having our close friends and family together! It turned out to be such a fun and beautiful evening! ♥️
