Getting some before and after shots of my favourite country house.
Although I have to say when you have a good foundation there isn’t much to do. Just add some pumpkins!🎃

When the late afternoon sun stretches the shadows and makes ordinary things intimate and nostalgic.
Sometimes I just have to pause as I walk by this table and let the moment of calm wash over me.
But also it’s like a moment remembered from another time and place. Like I’ve been here before.
It’s so fleeting this feeling that it leaves as soon as it arrives.

Light and shadows, French pottery, early autumn table, taking a moment, in the flow.

I keep coming back to this photo of the #carriagehouse studio before it was rented out. Beautiful light filled space that was imagined as an artist studio with lots of windows, original two hundred year old floors and treetop views.
But life had other plans and another artist get to enjoy and call this space home.
I am feel very fortunate to have them and I trust them as temporary caretakers ( as we all are).
But I still dream of set it up as my own working studio with drop cloths and smell of pain and that magical morning light.

Artist studios in old homes, places to create. Art showroom and creative spaces.
