A balancing act- don’t we all live it…. what doesn’t break us makes us stronger! Clay I hope might hold out in the drying process. My dancer, at one, and made from the excess clay from her horse. More later when fired and glazed….I am soon to have a SOLO Exhibition at The Paxton Centre, Crystal Palace. Certainly starting on the 7th November, really looking forward to celebrating The Paxton Centre and making the most of its last months. #paxtoncentrecrystalpalace #paxtoncentre #clayhorses #circus #crystalpalacetriangle by @susancox.art

What a time - a day back in Beloved Birmingham! visiting Birmingham School of Art, such a spectacular building, in a spectacular City. Our Fine Art Degree finished in 1984 and we all moved off into the world. I have a big hope that we will get the year back together and have a group show, to celebrate what Birmingham gave us! We were the centenary year ! As the Art School was established in 1884!! Hoping that time will gather the band back together…. Somehow !! There is a really lovely exhibition space now- where the printing studio used to be. I am VERY INSPIRED, and can’t wait for this to happen! #birmingham #birminghamartschool #1984 #fineart #marcusjohnhealybrowne taken in Birmingham, United Kingdom by @susancox.art

My ceramic class, freedom to play and let ideas bubble to the surface. I have been making horses for a while- and don’t think I’ll tire of them, but then Fantasia came to mind - Disney and the galloping baby centaurs and centauresses. Felt like the right time to put both figure to creature. #centaurs #clay#horses #sculpture #figurativeart by @susancox.art

It’s time to make again, once I start it’s very hard to stop. The poppie seed heads are made for bamboo garden stake stoppers. The dog head too and a snail and bird…. I’ll show them after they are fired and glazed… #ceramics#gardenornaments #poppies#clay taken in Forest Hill by @susancox.art

My handpainted obsessive bookmarks. I love all of them , like children, but I can’t hold onto them-so please do DM me for info, price is £10 plus £3.00 postage and £5 postage for international locations. Each one is a tiny little piece of magic, because they kind of make themselves! They are protected and durable with colourful original doublesidedPlease #look on Etsy, my kids have enabled me to put these up for sale. Susan Cox Fine Art, in Handmade watercolour bookmarks. The link is in the reel. So good to dabble in a shop on Etsy, still it’s baby steps for someone who is incredibly busy….. and unused to these platforms#handpaintedbookmarks #illustrations#etsyshopowner taken in Crystal Palace, London by @susancox.art

Love collecting- so exciting to put my colourful abstracts into 3D collages. Not sure how , where , why…. About a lot of things- but making art gives me a buzz and as long as it does- I am content. #makingart #collage #beachcombing #dorset #purbeck taken in Forest Hill by @susancox.art

Lots of jigsaw type compositions - love the feel of the small landscape abstracts. Part Dorset inspired, part gardener. At least water drought doesn’t change these colour creations! I love gardening - but making art is so much easier!!! #landscape#dorset#gardendesign #abstractart #emergingartistplatform by @susancox.art
