I almost walked right past this fascinating tangle of limbs and vines. 🌿
But slowing down gave me a reason to really look—and even sketch it.

Sometimes the smallest, unexpected things are the ones worth noticing. 💚

Even on an overcast, drizzly day, Lake Livingston State Park had plenty to offer. 🌿

Big trees, a beautiful lake, birds, quiet corners, and a little inspiration to sketch.

It reminded me that we don’t always have to look for the “perfect” moment. Sometimes, we just need to stay open to what a place has to give us.

And there’s usually something lovely waiting to be noticed. 💚

I love sitting down, pulling out my pens, and trying to capture a little piece of what I’m seeing. 🌿✏️

Sketching makes me slow down and really look—to notice what catches my attention and what I want to remember from that moment.

Sometimes, creating isn’t about making something perfect. It’s simply about paying attention. 💚

Here’s a tiny ritual you can do anywhere when you need a moment to reset. 💚

Tilt your head side to side, stretch your neck, roll your shoulders, gently arch your back, then take a deep breath and slowly let it out.

That’s it. A few simple movements and one deep breath.

I did it with you—did you feel a little calmer and more grounded too? 🌿

Today I’m exploring Lake Livingston State Park—lots of trees, a beautiful lake, and hopefully a little time to sketch before the rain catches up! 🌧️🌿

I’m also bringing along a tiny ritual to help us feel a little more relaxed and grounded.

Sometimes, the best adventures happen when we simply stay open to exploring, open to what’s new, and see what the day brings. 💚

There’s something truly magical about spending time in nature. 🌿✨

While exploring Village Creek State Park, I found myself thinking about forest bathing—the simple practice of slowing down, getting outside, and allowing yourself to be surrounded by nature.

Beyond the peaceful feeling it can bring, spending time outdoors can be a wonderful way to step away from everyday stress and reconnect with ourselves.

And when I’m thinking about skincare, I love that reminder: caring for ourselves isn’t only about what we put on our skin. It can also be about how we care for our whole self. 💚

Sometimes, a little time among the trees is its own kind of self-care.

Do you make time to get outside and simply breathe?

Sometimes, all I need is a few quiet minutes to slow down and simply be. 🌿

Today, I’m taking some time at Village Creek State Park to sketch part of the river and its banks—and I’m inviting you to slow down with me.

Stay until the end because I’ll also share a tiny ritual you can do anywhere, even in the middle of a hectic day, to create a little pocket of peace for yourself. 💚

You don’t need a park, a sketchbook, or even a lot of time. Sometimes, one intentional minute is enough to pause, breathe, and notice where you are.

When was the last time you gave yourself a quiet minute?
