Beyond stoked to announce that @bloodylegendfilm has been selected for next month’s big genre @sitgesfestival in Barcelona! We’ll be presenting as part of their Coming Soon section for films in the final stages of development & post production 🔥

Our teaser video was also selected - and has won first place! - in the trailer category of Lil Spooky Fest which takes place in LA next month too.

🤩 WHAT A TRIP!! 🤩

Dropped in to LA to finally check out Hollywood, and I even managed to catch up with @stuartbeattieofficial - 20 years after we were originally supposed to meet up!!

Then on to France for the @festivaldecannes & @marchedufilm to network with sales agents for @bloodylegendfilm with one of my actors @thebrunchcrawlers along for the ride 😃

Made some amazing contacts, learned so much more about the industry, went to my first villa party in the south of France, scoffed too many pastries & fell in love with the town of Antibes.

Feeling very lucky & excited about what’s to come 💙 by @susantaylorwriter

My feature @bloodylegendfilm is officially WRAPPED! It was the most fulfilling experience of my career in every way & I can’t thank everyone enough who worked on it, donated, supported or even asked me about it. It means the world to me.

Next up is the edit which I honestly can’t wait for - you’re all gonna love it.

BUT as expected the budget blew out & we still have a lot of expenses incoming with post, so if you can throw us a few extra coins to help us smash this indie film out of the park there’s still a few weeks left to donate to our ACF campaign. Don’t forget you can claim it on your tax return too. Link in bio - cheers legends. More updates to come soon 👊

That’s (almost) a wrap on @bloodylegendfilm 💥 I’ve had the most incredible last few weeks shooting my first film with an amazing bunch of humans I now consider family.

I’m so proud of my cast who are genuinely brilliant - in particular @yaz.haddad who’s in almost every scene & killing it without ever complaining.

Big shout out too to all the hardworking crew - especially @stonecat @biebs__x & @stillnothere who made the movie possible in the first place.

The whole experience has been surreal, thrilling, humbling and insane. I can’t believe I’m finally getting to live my dreams and I can’t wait for you all to see the film. It’s going to be EPIC ❤️

THE CAT’S OUT OF THE BAG! 🐈‍⬛

Australian actor and co-host of @yazandferas on Sydney’s @2dayfm , @yaz.haddad will be starring as the lead role “Benny” in the upcoming comedy-horror film @bloodylegendfilm from @thundercat_productions and @crybaby_productions

Filming this March in Western Sydney and the iconic Blue Mountains, Bloody Legend follows a wannabe influencer who decides to track down the legendary Blue Mountains Panther in an attempt to go viral and win back his girl. But when he and his mates become the hunted, he’s gotta decide — is fame bloody worth dying for?

Joining the hunt as Benny’s best mates in the film are Hamze Taha (@thebrunchcrawlers ) & @marcustrgo in their big screen debuts, as well as seasoned actor Tony Rahme @o4awsm (Shortland Street). Additional actors include @nat.halabi (Apple Cider Vinegar), comedians @fadykassab (I’m So Sorry for Your Loss) and @iamcameronjames (Bump), NZ actor @benfransham (What We Do In The Shadows, Time Bandits), @domlittrich (Inspired Unemployed), @kathleenod (The Lost Flowers of Alice Heart), @therealwillward (Housos, Pirates of the Caribbean), @benjamincremen (The Artful Dodger S2, Superwog) and comedian influencers @sarah_michaels_show and @nariman.dein

The duo are also producing in addition to @biebs__x , with @stillnothere on board for cinematography. The film is based on an idea by @pedrocuccovitola and inspired by the real-life urban myth of the Blue Mountains Panther.

With a heavy heart I’m devastated to say we said goodbye to our darling Thundercat on Christmas Eve 💔 He was the best cat & pet anyone could have hoped for. He was my familiar, my first baby, my guardian angel.

From the moment Lee brought him home from the shelter we became a family. He taught us how to be parents, and when the kids came along he taught them unconditional love, patience, kindness and responsibility. He brought so much happiness to our lives & we feel so incredibly lucky that he was with us for 18 years, especially when there were many times we almost lost him. From balancing on window sills & falling off the balcony in the apartment, to flying off the roof of the car when I drove off not realising he was sun baking up there, & the terrible paralysis ticks that almost saw him leave us 8 years ago. He definitely used up every one of his 9 lives.

We were all as utterly obsessed with Thundy as he was with us. He followed us everywhere (even the shower) & wanted to be on or near us always. If he sat on your lap you were the ‘chosen one’ and could exercise your rights to ‘cat law’ - meaning everyone else had to fetch you things because there was no way you were pushing him off. He knew when you were sick or upset, & would sit on you purring to try and heal you. He loved hanging out in the sunshine on the deck & garden, and finding new cupboards and spots inside to hide away for a snooze. He could open doors, pull pranks (like stealing toilet paper when you were in the bathroom), and was so serious about protecting us that he once wouldn’t let the pizza delivery guy get to our front door.

I will miss him trying to sit on my computer keyboard when I write. I will miss him sitting on every jigsaw puzzle I do. I will miss seeing the kids adore him, his funny little meows, and his face at the window (even though he had his own cat door). But most of all I will miss him giving us cat kisses (head butts) & patting my face in the middle of the night to check that I’m still alive before curling up against me.

And now he’s sleeping forever. We will never forget our Ginger Prince, General Pink Nose, Kit Ball, Mr Meowi, Sir Licks a Lot, Mow mow, TC xxx by @susantaylorwriter

My new book is out!! Titled “They’re Building A House Next Door” it’s a sequel to my first picture book “The Garbage Trucks Are Coming Today!” and is illustrated by @drawnoutstories and published by @newhollandpublishers

Once again it features Winston and Sonny - but this time also Elwood, because he was miffed he wasn’t in the first book 😂

Available now in hardback from Dymocks, Booktopia, Amazon and all other good bookstores and online. Purchase links in my bio ☝️

Coincidentally we also do actually have a new house being built next door - so very fitting with this book now out. And just in time for Christmas 😃
