It’s taken me a while to post about the incredible time I had at the SNAG conference last week. It is such an important reminder that conferences do more than offer us opportunities to learn, and see new work. It is a vital chance to be with friends, make new friends and renew enthusiasm and energy for the community.I particularly loved seeing former students like Gabriel Craig, Amy Weiks, Sarah Holden, Kat Cole, and Brian Fleetwood, and others! I was so proud that so many of our current students were there, and that VCUarts instructors, Sarah Spee Parker and Shannon Kurzniec were there too! Here are some pics:1) image of a few students, faculty, alum from VCUarts2) Gabriel Craig showing us his studio, @smithshopdetroit.3) @s.pee.23 at SmithShopDetroit4) Amy Weiks sharing a project of theirs at @smithshopdetroit5) Friends meeting for the first time in person! #MarilynDaSilva and #ElBrown6) #rebeccastrzelec presenting7) @s.pee.23 and #isabeleldridge at Anders Ruhwald's Unit 1 space8) trying on #kriscarlos Sasamba Ring from @danacadesignstudio Battle of the Rings9) @katcolemetalsmith!!!10 + 11) @cappycounard!!!!12) view of the @radicaljewelrymakeover Rejewelry Competition exhibition at Adorned Spaces13) @teapotonwheels!!!
