Since childhood, I lived with sadness and carried more weight than most people ever knew. I was surviving, not living.

Then one day, I made a decision. I was going to choose myself. I was going to choose my daughter. I was going to trust God, even when I couldn’t see what He was doing.

And that’s when everything changed.

God whispered, “Now watch what I can do.”

I fell in love with life again.

He blessed me with a man who leads with love, patience, and encouragement. I get to watch my daughter smile every single day. He surrounded me with friends who show up without hesitation and a community that has supported me in ways I never imagined.

I’ve been given opportunities I never dreamed of and invited into rooms I once thought I’d never belong in. Today, I walk into those rooms with confidence—not because of who I am, but because I know who goes before me.

Thank You, God, for restoring what I thought was lost, for giving me beauty from ashes, and for proving that Your plans were always greater than my pain.

And to every person who has loved me, prayed for me, believed in me, and stood beside me—thank you. I will never take your love or your support for granted.

To my man, thank you so much for constantly fixing everything that you didn’t break and loving me the way that you do.
