These aren’t just drum samples. These are drums built for records.

LINK IN BIO

Death Kit Vol. 1 is a collection of my personal drum sounds. These are the type of drums I reach for when I want weight, aggression and character, and they come directly from the sound I’ve developed throughout my years of producing records.

These aren’t random sounds thrown together just to make a big drum kit.

Every sound was personally selected by me.

I could have filled this kit with hundreds of sounds just to advertise a bigger number, but that’s not what Death Kit is about. I’d rather give producers 77 sounds I believe in than hundreds they’ll never use.

The drums were captured through a Great River preamp for that thick, musical Neve 1073-style character and a real Universal Audio LA-2A tube compressor to bring in the warmth, weight and classic tube character of genuine analog hardware.

The processing is already part of the sound. Load them up and start creating.

These are drums from my personal collection and the type of sounds I’ve trusted when making records.

No filler. No wasted sounds. Just drums I would actually use.

WHAT’S INSIDE

23 Kicks
27 Snares
24 Hi-Hats
2 Bass Sounds
1 Extra Sound

77 TOTAL SOUNDS

Compatible with MPC, Maschine, SP-404 and any DAW or sampler that supports WAV files.

DEATH KIT VOL. 1

Captured through real analog hardware.
Personally selected by Sutter Kain.
Made for records.

STOP calling yourself a mix engineer because you mixed vocals over a 2-track.

You mixed the vocals. The beat was already mixed.

And throwing a limiter on the final bounce doesn’t automatically make you a mastering engineer either.

Mixing and mastering are actual crafts. The titles mean something.

Agree or am I tripping?

More gear doesn’t make better music.

You don’t need a rack full of gear to make great records. Half of that stuff is probably just sitting there looking expensive anyway.

Give me a few pieces I actually KNOW how to use and I’m good.

A24 really made a Chris Hansen movie… and somehow made it one of the best movies of the year.

PrimeTime is INSANE.

If you grew up watching Chris Hansen catch predators on TV, you need to see what A24 did with this story. I wasn’t expecting it to be THIS damn good.

The Dangerous BAX EQ is something special.

It’s one of those EQs you don’t always realize is doing that much… until you bypass it.

Then you immediately miss it.

That’s what makes the BAX special. It’s not about making drastic changes—it’s about those smooth, musical moves that make the whole mix feel better.

Once you get used to having it on your mix bus, it’s hard to take it off.

PLUGINS ARE CRAZY GOOD NOW… SO WHY DO I STILL HAVE A RACK FULL OF ANALOG GEAR?

Because for me, it was never just about whether a plugin can sound close.

It’s about committing to a sound. Turning real knobs. Driving hardware. Making decisions instead of scrolling through 100 plugins trying to figure out what sounds better.

This is my analog setup and every piece in this rack has a reason for being there.

Would you still invest in analog gear in 2026?
