It’s the journey, not the destination.

It’s kinda impossible to describe what music means to me. And what playing music or singing to people, makes me feel. It’s like an elixir The Creator gave me when I was in my mama’s belly. Or before that. The frequency has maybe always been in my soul, in the essence of my immortal Soul and Celestial being. Music is a vibration of love, oneness and Creation.
It’s Divine and all healing.
It chose me and I chose it.

The producer of this event said to me
”Suva you always look so euphoric when you play.” I agree, I am euphoric when I get to perform, sing and play music that moves me.

For the 115th installment in our Just For The Night series, selectors take you on their own journey through groove. Anything goes.

Tervetuloa Suva 👋 She’s a DJ, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist based in Finland 🇫🇮 with over 35 years of live experience and has recently shared the decks with the likes of @lakuti_ and @tama_sumo, Toribio @toribious_monk and @djmarciacarr_official to name a few.

Her sound blends soulful house grooves with live vocals, creating a deep and uplifting energy that moves both body and soul. Known for transforming dance floors into spaces of connection and unity Suva brings the heart of house music to every set - where rhythm, voice, and spirit become one. She’s delivered a mix named ‘London Love’ for our mix series, and it runs seriously deep.

In addition to performing, Suva has hosted her own radio show, The Garden, on @idahelsinki for over five years, curating soulful music and drawing inspiration from diverse genres. Based in Helsinki, she is currently producing new music scheduled for release in early next year and is open to collaborations & international gigs - don’t be shy!

Found a clip from a concert I did back in ’18 in a yoga school playing my song Dyyni (Dune) with a 28string kantele and two guys from the yoga circles. The song is about me meeting a medicine woman in the desert, who gives me snake medicine that made me open up to a sound, then the earth swallowed me inside and reminded me that humans are made of love.

I still have the summer sparkle in my heart so what better way to swim and bathe in that energy than a love letter mixtape for the Eternal Summer of ’26 ✨
My government name translates to ’The Summer Breeze’ in Finnish, so I act accordingly 🩷

Oh how I appreciate these Monday mornings with my radio show The Garden.
Today I got to play the amazingly beautiful and new Touch the Sky by @louievega himself (this @musclecars.nyc extended mix is truly a touch of Heaven) and just poured my heart out and was focusing only to the emotion in the music.

Unfortunately there was some hiccups with the mic again (we are in eclipse season so this is already designed for us) so none of my speeches got through but never the less the vibe was free, sweaty, humid, grateful and most of all, loving.

And I also want thank you all who came to Tanner last Friday to my 5 hr solo event, I’m still processing from all the love you gave me and I appreciate every single step we took together until the lights came out 🩷

btw I have space for club gigs atm so hmu if you wish to see this get down at your prestigue establishment 🩷

Imagine: a warm summer soirée, last soft sunrays in the air of Kallio and you hear melodic house tunes and hypnotic beats coming from Tanner. You catch through the windows Dj Suva smiling and dancing and a sweet feeling is bubbling behind your eyes; could I also join in on the party?

You bet you can and we absolutely want you to join in on the fun, a celebration of life, joyous gathering on the dancefloor with the best house jams that makes you move your body and close your eyes. Safer space rules are applied and we focus on the wellbeing of the dancefloor
