POSTS STORIES REELS

I've noticed a few new faces here (hello and welcome!) so thought it might be time for a little reintroduction.

So here are a few facts so you can get to know me better:
🥦 I have a Master's Degree in in nutrition
🥦 I am obsessed with skin and gut health
🥦 I love hiking (my favourite hiking destination so far is Norway)
🥦 The nutritional misinformation on social media and on the internet in general drive me a little crazy at times🙃
🥦 I'm a qualified yoga teacher
🥦 I used to really struggle with acne when I was younger which sparked my interest in gut health
🥦 My go to crafty hobby is knitting
🥦 When I was younger I wanted to be an archeologist or historian and wanted to work in a museum (I also have a degree in Classical Studies 😄)
BONUS FACT: My favourite veggie is brocoli. 🥦 It's just so versatile.

Now that you know me a little better, I'd love to get to know you. I'd love it if you could share something about yourself in the comments, or if you maybe have a favourite hiking destination or crafty hobby. I'd love to connect!

I had the best time chatting all things skin nutrition with Jade on her podcast, No Bullsh*t Nutrition.

If you're curious about what exactly skin nutrition is, definitely give it a listen. I also chat about some steps you can take today to look after your skin while busting some common myths around food and skin (looking at you chocolate!)

You can find the podcast episode in the link in my bio.

If you've listened to the poddy, I'd love to know your thoughts. I had so much fun and honestly, completely forgot at times we were recording a podcast. 😁

Thank you Jade for a lovely chat! 🩷

If you feel like you have tried everything and nothing has worked, please know this:

Your skin is not failing you.

Skin conditions often reflect internal imbalances involving inflammation, gut health, hormonal clearance, oxidative stress, and circadian rhythm disruption. Suppressing symptoms without addressing these underlying drivers will only provide temporary relief.

True skin healing happens when we support the body’s physiology, allowing inflammation to resolve, hormones to clear properly, and cellular repair processes to function optimally.

This is why a root cause, evidence based approach changes everything.

Your skin is not the problem. It is the messenger.

Comment JOIN or DM me if you would like to be on my waitlist.

You'll be the first to know when my books reopen. 💖

If your skincare routine is flawless but you're still getting breakouts, the cause could be biochemical.

Frequent blood sugar spikes can increase inflammatory markers, stimulate androgen activity and drive excess sebum production.

Over time, this can create the perfect environment for persistent breakouts that don't respond to skincare.

Our skin reflects so much more than just what we put on it.

This is why I take a holistic and evidence informed approach. This means assessing your nutrition, gut health, stress load and daily habits to create support that is tailored to fit you.

So did you know what you eat could be the hidden reason behind your breakouts?

2025, you taught me to always expect the unexpected.

Of course the year didn't go exactly as planned, but when does it ever? 😄

Our trip to Japan surpassed all expectations and was a major highlight for me amidst uncertainty. I seriously can't wait to go back.

I took a step back from social media and didn't realise how much I needed that break. It wasn't fun anymore. I kept overthinking posts. So this year I'll be posting for the fun of it. Expect a lot less curated feed from me.

Towards the end of the year I went back to studying (I know!) Turns out you can never know too much and I'm hoping by combining nutrition and dermal therapy I'll be able to help even more people. It's a lot of work and pretty full on but it's also incredibly interesting and I can already see how combining nutrition and dermal therapy can help my incredible clients have even better outcomes.

So, what can you expect from me this year?
A new website launching along with my appointment book opening in Feb (existing clients, DM me if you need an earlier appointment).

Less curation and more authenticity and reality.

Glimpses into study and general life.

Nutrition, gut & skin health facts and tips.

A lot more personality.

So a little bit of everything. ☺️

Hope your 2026 is off to a magical start! 💖

November photo dump. 🇯🇵

Japan you were absolutely amazing and unforgettable. 🥰

I've been back for a week now catching up on admin and getting over a very persistent cold, but my heart is still very much in Japan.

I'm slowly getting back into my usual routine, getting all the kitty cuddles I can and getting excited for the festive season.

I also can't wait to get back to sharing all things skin nutrition soon.

Let me know how you're doing, what I've missed (I haven't had time to log on here much during the holiday) and if you have any questions about our trip. 💖

Skipping meals doesn’t just leave you hungry, it can trigger blood sugar spikes, raise androgens, and inflame your skin.

For women with PCOS, that means more breakouts, oiliness, and slower healing.

Regular balanced meals keep hormones steady and support clearer, calmer skin.

Your skin barrier can’t fully repair with products alone.

Nutrition play a key role in helping your skin stay healthy and reslilient. Focus on anti-inflammatory foods, omega 3s, and antioxidants for calmer, glowing skin.

Your skin is basically your gut’s group chat and it never lies.

When your gut is thriving, it supports your skin to help it stay healthy and glowing. When it’s out of balance, your skin often shows the stress through breakouts, redness, or flare-ups.

This gut–skin axis is why skincare isn’t just topical, it’s internal too.

By nourishing your gut microbiome you’re also helping your skin stay resilient, healthy and radiant.

Remember, a happy gut microbiome = happy skin.

Thinking about a skin treatment?

From laser and microneedling to injectables, chemical peels and even skin surgery, the results don’t just depend on what happens in the clinic chair. Your nutrition plays a huge role in how well your skin heals, glows, and holds onto results.

Foods rich in antioxidants, healthy fats, collagen-building nutrients, and gut-friendly fibres can:

➡️Reduce inflammation
➡️Support faster healing
➡️Enhance collagen production
➡️Protect your skin barrier

At Bareface Nutrition, I specialise in pairing skin treatments with personalised nutrition strategies to help you get the most out of your investment in your skin. Because true skin health starts on the inside.

Ready for skin that glows beyond the clinic? DM me or leave me a comment below to join my waitlist today and be the first to know when my books reopen in September. 🩷
