Weo! Last Open Mic was a collection of self as improvisation, self as map, a trout’s take on friendship, saskatoon berry’s lessons of reciprocity, playing hockey in ghost towns, lucifer’s venusian ways, magnificent neural circuitries, handpans, drums and keytars, future self crushes, fragmented self poems, thoughts on freedom, songs for sons, for lovers, for God, and wolves riding the backs of orca whales.

What will the next have in store for us to explore together?

Here’s to keeping that little flame alive.

This month we’ll be jammin on Saturday, February 28th.

We are entering into our 3rd season of Open Mics! Weeeeee!

There aren’t many words other than thank you and I love you but since I’m long winded by nature, here’s a few more…

Each event has held its own unique creative arc and has cultivated an important imprint within the community that couldn’t have come into expression without the collaboration and coming together of everyone involved, in the varying participation capacities, whether once, twice or consistently.
It’s an incredibly awe-inspiring thing to be together and share in the experience and expressions of creativity, laughter, sorrow, pain, love, memory, excitement, bravery, nervousness, newness, spontaneity, curiosity, sharing and witnessing.
So, here’s to hopefully many more moments of creativity within community!

Big, inspired, heartfull shoutouts to the local artists who have supported this project by weaving their visual art expressions into these experiences by creating the posters for the events this year!
