They say the eyes are the first thing to change when you find clarity. Looking at myself today, I finally see someone who isn’t looking for an exit strategy. 🐍✨

2025 was my Year of the Snake - a year of deep, necessary shedding. Last June, I made the hardest and best decision of my life to stop hiding and finally face my struggle with alcohol head-on. I committed to the work of healing, and in doing so, I had to let go of everything that was weighing me down.
The process was raw. I lost 20lbs of physical weight, but I also lost friendships and old versions of myself that couldn’t survive this new light. I’ve learned that “uncomfortable” is just a feeling, not an emergency.

To the version of me that started this journey last June: thank you for being brave enough to let the old skin go, even when it hurt. To my friends and family who stayed by my side and didn’t give up on me: thank you for seeing the Horse through the Snake and holding the space while I learned how to breathe again.

I’m entering 2026, 220 days sober, 100% present, infinitely happier, and finally ready to run. The Year of the Horse is here, and I’m finding my stride. 🐎🔥

This past week, I got to relive a childhood memory. ✨
The Cinderella Scholarship Pageant was a huge part of my life growing up - from age 7 to 13, it’s where I learned confidence, made lifelong friends, and built skills I still use every day.
Stepping back into that room, this time as a judge instead of a contestant was completely surreal. Watching these incredible young girls light up the stage brought back a flood of sweet memories. To every girl who competed this week: you are so talented, poised, and inspiring. Full-circle moments hit different. 👸🏻👸🏼👸🏽👸🏾 taken in Dallas, Texas by @suzbanuz
