In case you forgot:
“We live on a planet where whales sing songs that travel for miles.
Where trees can recognize their own offspring and protect them underground. Where dolphins give each other names and where lightning can create glass in the sand. Where horses can read human emotions. Where rain has a smell before it even arrives and where the ocean can glow in the dark. A place where the stars we see might not even exist anymore.” by @suzi__kelley

Jesus didn’t say: do as I say but then did the opposite, did he? Hey Portland, let’s not be triggered by someone who wants to incite anger and violence. Let’s keep our cool and be calm. Self-control and dignity is a mark of intelligent and caring behavior. We know the truth. by @suzi__kelley

I’ve been sitting on the morning porch to catch the first light, the moon and the stars and to greet early birds and dog walking friends and neighbors. It’s become a ritual. People are no longer surprised to see me there, and many stop to say hello. Getting to know neighbors is so old fashioned and I love it. Our common language is that of curiosity, as in any new relationship. The most common response to my question; “How are you today?,” has changed from “I’m good or “I’m great!” to, “I’m doing okay, just okay.” Long pause. There’s a steep trail ahead in our country. Maybe we need a little more old fashioned porch time. Time to find out how people are feeling and what we have in common. 💜💜💜 by @suzi__kelley
