Last night we said goodbye to Storm and there is a huge hole in our hearts. In 2011, we wanted a friend for Boomer and spotted her at the Santa Monica Shelter after running along the 10 freeway. She was that and so very much more.
Storm’s life was filled with adventures, many planned and way too many unplanned. This wild girl got stolen twice, picked up by LAPD for running on the 4th of July, found by strip club owners & hairdressers, and many more, but she always found her way back to us.
She loved her habits, and heaven forfend were we ever late with her nightly treat. She was both always ready to eat and the pickiest eater you could imagine. She was beautiful; she was lightning in the clouds. She was punk rock and a ballerina.

We loved her dearly, and were so lucky to be her humans for nearly 14 years. We’ll miss you, Storm-doggie, double dream-hands, our sweet baby-girl! by @suzy_e_j

Most of the year, I would think about posting, then never did. 2024 deserves a recognition post! It was filled with amazing memories. Lots of concerts, Disneyland, and so much travel! Spending time in Bend, Bozeman, Tokyo, Costa Rica, Toronto, San Diego, & Austin! And most importantly dogs!! 💜 by @suzy_e_j

My birthday and first morning in Tokyo feels like a week of adventures already! We saw the statue of Hachikō, the loyal dog that waited at the station for his owner’s return. Shibuya Crossing, where thousands of people cross every few minutes. Then we took a short walk up to the Meiji Jingu temple. Since it is Golden Week, we got to witness sacred ceremonies and the most beautiful taiko drumming! The joy on the face of the drummers was absolutely stunning. taken in Shibuya, Tokyo by @suzy_e_j
