Introducing our second year class! These 13 students are deep into researching their thesis topics (which they are displaying here in the form of an image or object). They will spend this semester synthesizing, hypothesizing, and interviewing subject matter experts, alongside other classes surrounding their professional practice. by @svapod

Our first years visits Bushwick for their PoV final presentation by wheat pasting their posters!
During class every student picked a societal issue they hold close to them and created an illustrated poster for a call to action. by @svapod

Philosophy of Design comes to an end and our first years takes on the commutation test!
Throughout the five week course the students learned about semiotics (the study of signs) and its effects on their design thinking. by @svapod

The first years tackle the wire problem!
By creating dynamic compositions with a variation of curves and lines made from copper wires the students took a closer look at what makes a balanced composition. by @svapod

First and Second years at PoD have a special relationship as they go about their different tracks, in close proximity to eachother. First years are currently leveling up on their making skills, while Second years brush up on theirs, and dive deep into Thesis research. This was their first time meeting, a week before classes begun. taken in SVA MFA Products of Design by @svapod

The PoD first years attended the @risolab workshop and were certified to operate the amazing riso machines located at 136 W21st on the 11th floor of the SVA building!

Any SVA students can apply to be certified on the SVA riso lab website 😚 underneath COURSES to register!
