@lightningleiden and @coachbrianspapens Thank you for the opportunity this Sunday. I enjoyed it, and I learned a lot from the game. Although we did not win, a lot was learned this Sunday.

For as long as I can remember, I have loved cars. And maybe even more so, racing. The feeling of going fast is like no other for me. So naturally, it has always been a dream of mine to go car racing. A seemingly impossible dream, yet this year, I’m making it happen.

Racing is the most expensive sport in the world. Something only the top 1% can do.
Or so I thought. As it turns out, if you get 4 great friends, throw them into a group chat with a simple question, it is possible. That question? You guys wanna build a race car?

But as it turns out, I picked the exact right people for the task. Every single one of them as ambitious as me. Everyone with their own strengths. And then it turns into something way bigger than you imagined. Something that keeps growing every day. New ideas, research into solutions, people wanting to be involved. Something that I know will keep growing.

As I am writing this, it’s September 7th, and we just registered for our first ever race. And to be honest, I won’t believe it until we are on that starting grid in Assen on October 30th. Pouring literal blood, sweat, and tears into this project has been and will be an honor.

So thank you, Mika, Maarten, Sam, James and everyone who has helped us so far for making this childhood dream a reality with me.

But as I have learned from football:
