We are thrilled to be part of @statelibrarynsw’s most significant transformation in decades.

The NSW State Library’s newly refurbished Macquarie Street Building is now open, providing readers and visitors with even more inviting places to study, gather, and explore. The State Library is a deeply valued public institution, committed to offering an uplifting, welcoming, and accessible environment for all. It continues to grow as a living library, delivering essential services and inspiring spaces for every visitor.

Upholstery fabrics: Umbra, Serra, Alto and Twinwool.
•
Our fabrics are extremely durable, with unique weaves that blend yarn colours to make up the structure of the fabric, highlighting the three-dimensional texture. For this fabric the design team developed both soft tone-on-tone shades and bolder colour combinations. by @svenskakj

The @mcec is recognised as a world leader in sustainable design, which made it a fitting project for Svenska KJ to be involved in.
•
The iconic infrastructure project adjoining the existing exhibition centers and Docklands precinct, created an active and vital pubic waterfront. At the hub is a large, flexible multi-function hall with seating for 5,000. The space can be subdivided into different-sized rooms depending on the size or type of function.
•
In addition, a series of foyers, meeting rooms and a banquet hall were designed to reflect different aspects of Melbourne: civic spaces were inspired by the maritime precinct, hospitality spaces relate to Melbourne’s sport and culture, and functional spaces are neutral to reflect the Central Business District. by @svenskakj

It was a pleasure to collaborate on the evolution of this innovative landmark space amongst Sydney’s most iconic buildings in Martin Place - one that will endure and contribute to the fabric of the city.
•
Balancing sophistication and warmth, tactile materials from the Svenska KJ range provide both vibrant accents, and calming elements - with upholstery in mustard, russet, olive, modernist green, and dirty pink - to create a perfectly balanced space for members.
•
Drawing inspiration from premium hospitality settings, the space combines high-performance workplace functionality with the visual appeal of a hotel lobby or evening bar.
