I am sharing the view from my kitchen window today rather than the bird feeder camera footage; birds sure are entertaining, aren't they?🤣

Have you ever seen birds at a feeder sharing with the ones hanging out underneath? People say Black-billed Magpies are bullies, but this one is actually sharing food with the little guys.🙂😂

P.S. How many different species of birds do you see at my tree feeding station: Black-billed Magpies, Steller's Jays, Scrub Jays, Blue Jays, sparrows, and European Starlings? Do you see them all?😀

I caught this little fellow (Mnt Chickadee) in the tree today while I was out feeding peanuts to my Steller’s jays—sorry about the blurry photo! He's so tiny and cute🥰❤️ by @sveronica79

Waiting for me to pay the peanut tax toll; my jays are coming to get their peanuts, and one photo even shows a Black-billed Magpie trying to get in on the action too! 😍😅 Peanut tax collectors 🤣

I am just amazed at how quickly he went into a roll and popped back up.🤣🤣

Backstory
I have a terrible habit of laughing uncontrollably when people get hurt, and now Nick does it too. We have a rule to check if the person is okay first, but sometimes I just can’t help myself, and this was one of those times.

Chuck asked if I had checked the porch camera footage yet, and when I said no, he told me I absolutely had to see him wipe out while chasing the dog away from something she wasn't supposed to eat. I couldn't stop laughing and asked why he would even admit to that, and he said he figured I would see the footage eventually, so he confessed. After wiping tears from my eyes, I asked if he was okay.

So here it is; I hope you enjoy it too.😜🤣

Love you babe.🥰😘

That storm last night was absolutely wild😳 Did anyone else get hit hard? Here’s a look at what our porch camera caught: no, that’s not snow, it’s hail.

I spotted an orangish-red tail on my bird feeder camera today, and comparing the view from my window to the footage was awesome: a male and female eating back-to-back. It was so cute watching the male let her go first!

Look at this memory that popped up today from 2012; I touched it up with some editing tools we didn't have back in the day, so at least you can see us a little better now.🤣

One of my morning routines is feeding the birds—corvids among other varieties.

I have three different jay varieties and magpies that visit me every day: the typical Eastern Blue Jay, Steller's Jay, and Mountain Scrub Jay. The Scrub Jay family has been here the longest, and now there are four of them that come every day to visit me for peanuts at the same time (parents with their fledglings). I used to just put the peanuts out there and walk back inside before they'd come and collect them. Now they'll come within feet of me to get them. Fingers crossed, I'll have them feeding from my hand in no time, LOL. The Steller's Jay is a bit shy, but he's slowly building up his courage. He stays in the tree studying me (Jays are super smart; he's learning my times, calls, face, etc.). Once I look away, he'll come snag a peanut 🐦🥜 (which makes sense; prey animals aren't big fans of eye contact). The Scrub Jay's (because they use to study me) know my click and call and come flying in when it's 🥜 time o'clock 🤣 (which you'll see in the video). Cool, eh? Aren't they so beautiful?

Just a heads-up, the blue jay at the feeder is just molting, not sick! 🐦😉
