About two weeks ago, @swamp.rose.studio Annie brought in and immediately sold a gorgeous canvas piece called "Curious Corvid" Now, I didn't buy the full canvas, but I couldn't live without my own copy so the lovely Annie let me buy their print version! I finally got my hands on it (my husband forgot he got it from work and left it in the car) and y'all?? I'm just as madly in love as I was with the original canvas! Check out their profile for more of their information and come to @theboardandbrew soon as there's more of their art going up! And if someone beats you to those, don't worry! We have many fabulous pieces available and you can purchase anything you like that we have up on our wall! by @swamp.rose.studio

The Art of Conservation artist spotlight Annie O'Connell of @swamp.rose.studio Annie O'Connell (Swamp Rose Studio) is a multimedia visual artist with a degree in environmental science from the University of Maryland, primarily specializing in pencil and watercolor. Their current projects explore the ecosystems of Maryland, especially focusing on underappreciated, polluted, and degraded urban and suburban flora and fauna. They especially enjoy investigating weeds - plants that mainstream culture says we should eradicate, but that often were brought abroad intentionally as food, medicine, or fodder. Annie credits several books with influencing their focus on humans influence on nature, including "Medicine Wheel for the Planet" by Jennifer Grenz and "The Serviceberry" by Robin Wall Kimmerer. In their free time you can find Annie mucking around urban streams, picking wineberries in the park, or pestering friends with plant facts. Annie's work will be available when the show opens August 1st at 10am MT at www.kswildlifecreations.com by @swamp.rose.studio
