✧ CRUSH THE SERPENT’S HEAD ✧

this is a redraw of a piece from last year (last slide)! i’d put a lot of emotion into the first iteration, but was was never quite satisfied with how it turned out. i’m very happy with this one however!! i feel like i was better able to capture what i’d originally wanted this time around. est causa spei 🤍

ty insta for ruining the quality as always lol BUT i’m super proud of this one!!!! ✨✨

🗡💧THE KNIGHT-QUEEN AND THE DRAGON - genshin tcg collab!!

so so excited to have been able to participate in this collab!! drawing knight furina (and her dear dragon) was so much fun and such a great challenge!! thank you so much to the hosts for their hard work and for letting me be a part of this!! check out everyone’s amazing works- every single one is so stunning!!💞

ACCORDING TO THE LEGEND…
the knight-queen of the Realm of Many Waters, furina de fontaine, set out to save her people from the curse prophesied to destroy them. in her travels, she sought an audience with the water dragon- said to take the form of both man and beast- who had long ago shut himself away from the human realm. the queen pleaded for his help, exhorting the great serpent to reclaim his dormant power to save their land. moved by her courage, compassion, and sheer power of will, the dragon pledged himself to her as her ally and confidant in her quest to save the realm that had always been theirs to steward together.

professor sam between classes!! ✨️📚☕️

HI IM ALIIIIVE and i had a lot of fun drawing this 🤭 was it basically an excuse to draw sam in glasses that snowballed?? well yes. but hours... and hours later i’m happy with where it ended up teehee ✨️

i kinda drew this with a postseries everybody-lives AU in mind; with both bros stepping away from hunting (in theory...), dean opening his own mechanic shop, and sam pivoting from his prior goal of lawyering and becoming a university professor instead. the pen was a gift from dean when sam started his tenure.

naturally, all sam’s students love The Bitch Pen. <3

john called this morning. he’s en route back “home”- 3 hours out.

that was 11 hours ago.

it’s been a week of long, humid louisiana summer with nothing to do but stew in it. the motel AC crapped out yesterday. (dean swore over it like a one-armed sailor for an hour before delivering a swift kick to the vent. the dent makes it looks like this was their fault. john’ll be pissed at the extra cost.)

dean resents john for leaving him. he buries it under self-rebuke for ending up in this state in the first place. for making it so sam has to worry about him being all screwed up and useless. he hadn’t listened to the order to hang back- got too jumpy when the rougarou rushed at john.

the look john gave dean when he dropped him off at the motel still burns.

sam resents john for leaving dean. for leaving him. he’s 12 now- more than capable. his anger is rendered toothless by the guilt over dean’s injury. he should’ve grabbed more books for research when he dipped after the libriarian who’d been casting him concerned looks for the past 2 hours started looking like she was getting ready to make a call about his welfare.

every groan of pain dean tries to stifle scorches sam’s stomach.

the tension boiled over this morning after dean insisted on redressing his own wound instead of letting sam do it. both spat ugly words they didn’t mean into the muggymotel room air.

inevitably, the humidity broke to a whipping summer storm- dumping rain on The Sleepy Bayou motel lot.

exhausted, restless, and absolutely terrified- sam and dean look down the road, listening for the herald-rumble of the V8.

—

this is pretty old- i just realized i’d forgotten to post it here!!
anyways do you ever feel crazy thinking about kid sam n dean. well i sure do!!!! :’’))))

this was for sam week day 4, prompt “religion”
for this one, i wanted to incorperate sam’s faith with my own: “there is reason for hope” is sam’s quote from 5x3 (my favorite quote of his! it’s all over my blog lol), and “hope does not put us to shame” is taken from romans 5:5. the stained glass design represents sam’s journey out from blood, darkness, and hellfire into hope and light 🤍
