HEART OF THE BEAST • Nashville, TN

So proud of my hubby @justinmelnick for continuing important storytelling work, and HEART OF THE BEAST is no exception. David Ayer's film takes us into the places of our minds we have undoubtedly imagined with our own K-9 companions. Brad Pitt and Uber gave powerful honest performances, as did JK Simmons and Anna Lambe. If you watch/listen closely you'll hear/see Justin too. Could they take on a bear, a pack of wolves- could you survive together with nothing else but each other? How deep the matters of the heart, that are shared between... and how infinitely tethered together you are, this life and beyond. We owe them so much more than we could give...

What an absolute privilege to see this film, in the glorious natural outdoor amphitheater that is @firstbankamp (Franklin, TN). This powerful story is for everyone...

The evening was wonderful and it was great to get out for an extra special date night. Heard some beautiful music prior to the film. I especially loved hearing @jameyjohnsonofficial . Quickly downloaded his music on the spot.

But most of all- We especially carried the knowledge and emotion of firsthand stories of those that have served and retired, some with- and some without their dogs that served alongside them. We thank you all for your service.
