Decided to share with the world one of my many hobbies I have. Collecting trading cards is something I did as a kid and got out of it like many did and was brought back into it in full force a few years ago. Not only do I collect baseball but I’m all in on football and hockey as well. There’s a ton of current players out there who collect cards with a lot of them chasing after their personal cards like I’ve shown a few of my rookie cards above. I created this page not only to show a few of my personal collections but to also announce that I will be running live on @whatnot periodically… (link in bio) singles, Slabs, and eventually getting into breaks. First show will be scheduled soon so stay tuned for that. Hop on in and let’s talk baseball, my personal experiences in the game and just about anything else. Also… if you have any of my cards reach out and we can make something happen!! -Swanny by @swannypops

Ohhh how to sum up the last 10 years in one post.. 2025 was another life altering year for us as it was the year my husband decided to retire from the game of baseball. The sport he has dedicated the last 20+ years to, and me the last 9.5. It is truly an end of an era. But with everything else, it unfortunately had to come to an end at some point. The baseball lifestyle is truly wild. Im not sure how to articulate the words I feel for my husband, or the gratitude I feel for him taking me along on such a wild/crazy journey. Our kids experienced a life not many will ever do in a lifetime. They both grew up in a major league stadium where their life revolved around the sport. Toby- one of your first words were baseball, you flew in your first airplane at 3 weeks old to watch dads first spring training game and have had 100+ flights since. You spent 5 days a week running around the tunnels of T-mobile park and Roger Stadium as your own personal playground. People like JP Crawford, Robbie Ray, Gausman, Bo Bichette, and Vladdy were your besties and that was just normal life to you. You threw out the first pitch to your dad as 4 years old.. P- you were basically born at T-mobile park. Your first steps were in the tunnel of the Roger Center. Most nights were you running around the stadium in your pajamas way past your bedtime. You have been to 13 major league stadiums before the age of 3. The lifestyle we have had so graciously been able to live has taught my kids flexibility, adaptability, and resilience.

Erik Swanson was so focused on making it to the Big Leagues that he never truly sat down to imagine what it would be like. After seven seasons with Seattle and Toronto, retirement has given him a new appreciation for every moment. by @swannypops

As I sit here trying to figure out where to even begin, typing this for what feels like the 100th time… The one word I keep coming back to is GRATEFUL!
I am so incredibly grateful for my family, my agents, my teammates, coaches, medical staff, clubhouse managers, and everyone else in between who made my life easier and my family’s life easier. That’s one of the amazing things about this game, there are so many hands involved behind the scenes that help make this whole thing tick.

I am so incredibly grateful that I have parents who always supported me, no matter what I needed or when I needed it. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

I’m not sure they make words to describe how Grateful and appreciative I am of my wife (I’m going to try in a later post). She’s been there with me every step of the way, my ride or die!

This game took me to places I don’t think I could have ever guessed I’d be. It gave me cities to call home and people to call family. It’s incredible how many relationships this game has brought into my life. From lifelong friends up in Toronto and Winnipeg, to friends in big cities like Seattle and small towns like Hickory, NC, and all the other little stops In between. It’s pretty amazing how a simple game can bring so many amazing people into your world.

My time in this game was nothing short of amazing. Thank you to everyone who helped me along the way and to all those who supported me.

You all have truly made this journey an unforgettable 12 years.

—with extreme gratitude,
