EL NIÑO IS BACK
You may be hearing this term more often now.
El Niño is a natural climate pattern that happens when the surface waters of the central and eastern Pacific Ocean become unusually warm.
That extra heat changes atmospheric circulation — and can influence rainfall and temperatures thousands of kilometres away.
For 2026, scientists are watching closely as El Niño strengthens, with the possibility of a strong event later this year.
For India, its effect isn't straightforward — it interacts with other ocean patterns and can influence monsoon and temperature patterns.
One ocean.
Weather patterns connected across the planet.

2016. 16 days. 4 friends. On a road trip with no Google map and network at times.

Mumbai - Goa- Mollem National park - Hubli - Hampi - Tungabhadra - Aihole -Belur- Halebidu -Pattadakal - Badami- Udupi - Jog falls - Mysore - Bandipur National Park - Masinagudi - Bangalore.

Four like-minded crazy minds, one epic road, countless detours, ridiculous stories, terrible jokes and the kind of laughter that made your stomach hurt.
Honestly, it wasn’t a road trip. It was a full-blown Bollywood film - only nobody gave us the script.

Love.❤️

The river lets everything go,
yet somehow carries every story with it.
Maybe that’s what love is—
to hold, without holding on.

Sometimes, i stand beneath the evening sky, and the sunset paints my heart before it paints the clouds .

I don’t know why, but those quiet colours bring tears that do not belong to sorrow - only to a happiness too deep for words .

Perhaps some souls remember home whenever the sky learns how to bloom before the night.

Can you identify this bird?

In our culture ( Bengali ) this bird has long been a symbol of Durga Puja. Traditionally associated with Vijaya Dashami, it was believed to carry Goddess Durga’s blessings as she returned to Kailash.

Painting medium : gouache on paper
