Apparently I identify as a strict fiction reader. I don't want nonfiction to barge inside my brain with information. Good or bad I don't want. Silly me I know! Arundathi Roy on the contrary travelled with me all the way to Spiti with her nonfiction, after 'God of small things' (a marvelous fiction of all times) to Pondi before. I couldn't turn a page to dive down to Pallikkodam and meet Mrs.Roy once I reached Delhi. You will see why later.. But back from the trip, I was glued to this lady smoking on the cover page. Sometimes I would read and wonder, "sherikum?" and google it to confirm what she has written is fiction or real. Only to find the same book I read as a reference for my 'fiction or real session'. Utter sweetness from an author to a reader. Now I know. Again silly me! My fixation on fiction is no more real. Phew!! I have crossed the bleak line between them... by @swathy_parvathi
