Someone asked why I drank from my drum.
Because rhythm isn't just something you hear. Sometimes you need to take a little sip 😉

The real answer is: it was part of the story told with this dance. I love to do storytelling with my choreography. Let's see which story will be told next...

Performance pic is from my solo at the recent show UNDA by @lisa_muelleralbrecht playing cymbals

Cymbals are such underrated instruments.

Most people think they're just there to make a bit of noise, but they can be played multi-tonally and have surprisingly complex rhythms. They're also way harder to play well than they look 😅
My favourite rhythm is the Çiftetelli (You can here it in the song)

Field Journal Livia Dahnsfeld — Entry I
Crystal Examination

I came to study spectral resonances.
Instead, I found abandoned notes... and a crystal that shouldn't exist.

It was guarded by a mountain troll and surrounded by poisonous fungi.
But the most annoying part?

The measurements don't make sense.

For now, all I can do is observe...
and keep asking the right questions.

Three witchers (Joris, Anselm and Baldur) and the Swampwalkers were discussing how to summon a witch.

Livia: "Could someone explain how we're doing this? For documentation purposes."

Baldur:"There is no documentation. This isn't Oxenfurt anymore... this is field research."

He wasn't wrong.

Following Joris turned out to be far more educational (and far more terrifying) than any lecture at the university. . .

First adventure for my new Larp Character Livia Dahnsfeld.

"Originally, I was a student of natural philosophy. Today, as an Adjunkta at the Department of Supernatural Phenomena, I research spectral and conjunctional resonance phenomena."
"You do what?"
"Ghosts... I investigate ghosts...."

Many thanks to @geddes_orga for this amazing experience. Especially to @nadel_und_schwan for patiently putting up with Livia's field analyses and to @clan_falchraite for giving this slightly scatterbrained scholar a place to belong to for this adventure.
