Time to introduce Sway. Sway is a platform supporting emerging producers and DJs working across leftfield club music, bringing people together through events, educational workshops, and community. We want to create space for artists and ideas that sit slightly outside what is more widely represented in Cologne and its surroundings, while building on the loved and established sounds and concepts that already make the city’s music scene special. The aim is to push music forward, create new connections, and contribute to a community that continues to grow and evolve. But honestly, the best way to understand what Sway is about is to experience it. So keep your eyes peeled for what’s coming next 👀👀 by @sway_fwd

[🔒REGISTRATION CLOSED] WORKSHOP: ADVANCED SOUND DESIGN TECHNIQUES WITH ISOLATED MATERIAL   We’re excited to present our first workshop, hosted by Isolated Material, who will take you through his sound design techniques, approaches, and creative practices.   Isolated Material is a producer and DJ exploring the deeper edges of dub, bass music, and hypnotic techno. His productions fuse cavernous low-end pressure, textured atmospheres, and stripped-back rhythmic structures to create immersive, haunting soundscapes that balance tension with depth. As a DJ, he is known for dynamic, cross-genre sets that move fluidly between bass music, techno, house, post-punk, dub, and beyond. His approach centers on building cohesive journeys while remaining instinctively responsive to the energy of the room, creating sets that are immersive, unpredictable, and deeply engaging.   During the workshop, Isolated Material will share insights into his creative process and explore the techniques and approaches behind his sound. Whether you’re an experienced producer or simply curious about sound design, the session offers an opportunity to learn, experiment, and look at sound from a different perspective.   📅 18.09.2026 · 14:00–18:00
📍 Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM)
🎟️ Free entry · Donations welcome Limited spots available. Registration is required via DM.
The workshop is free to attend, but donations are greatly appreciated. All donations go directly towards SWAY, helping us finance and organize future workshops and events. This event is an initiative by Ronan Sungeelee, with the support of the Academy of Media Arts Cologne by @sway_fwd

@em___er @swmmngpl Lithuanian born, Brussels based Marija Rasa, performing and releasing music under the moniker emer, explores sound rooted in the meditative space of dub, flowing through slow changes of voice, bass, and atmosphere. A graduate of the Institute of Sonology in The Hague, Rasa also develops multichannel acousmatic works through a meticulous micro-montage approach. Her releases include Sea Salt on Lillerne Tapes, a collaboration with Ugnė Uma on STROOM, and the LP Fog on Short Span. She is also one half of the electroacoustic duo ugne&maria, whose albums were released on the labels Futura Resistenza and Hands in the Dark. Besides, Marija is a resident of Radio Vilnius and Kiosk Radio in Brussels.  Swimming Pool is a The Hague based duo by bass player Klyl Shifroni and electronic musician Seraina Fässler. Through vocal harmonies, alternative bass playing, and electronic processing the duo explores folk intimacy and experimental song writing. The two acts will be supported by DJ sets from @glitza_sway and @aphasit__ 🎫 Tickets at the door on donation basis (10-15€ recomended) Artwork by @ey__ ❤️ by @sway_fwd
