For the love of the game 🎬🪄💖

I wanted to challenge myself to write a short, contained story that could be shot comfortably in a day… and with this team - no problem 💁🏼‍♀️.

Big thanks to Allan Turner for allowing us to film in his home and supporting so many indie filmmakers (& hosting us for a nightcap after wrap) 💙

Shout out to my DOP Patryk for working quickly w the changing light all day to help keep our schedule and turning it out to capture something beautiful - & Kyra for being my whole brain as usual. 🧠 Huge thanks to Aaron Ives @framelessmedia.ca for bringing a mountain of equipment to help make this happen. ⚙️

Also… the actors crushed it. 💥

Some film from our KEYLESS & Bouquet cast and crew + friends screening party 💕

It takes such an incredible effort to make any film and it is so nice when people come together to celebrate our lil milestones!!!

I didn’t get pictures of everyone but to everyone who showed up, whether you worked on one of the films or not, it means the world!! Thanks @carolinacamposr @derekkun_ @kojbfilms @patrykszmidtdp @mooneye_design @peocram and anyone else I didn’t get a snap of especially @jeremy.koz who is a constant support and worked all day to make this happen despite the rain and our already flooded basement 💕😅

Thanks @lanaswayzephotography for bringing your point and shoot and @lanaswayze and @kartoshkitaa for helping with the beautiful spread 😘 was such a great night!!!! by @swayzekara

Twas a delight to direct Indigo by Leila Morey @its_smallchild this summer!!

This was such a great project to focus on collaborating with actors Leila, Adia and Nathalie, who all had so much perspective and personality to offer to this story! Each one of them delivered take after take in order for this all to come together in this quick 1 day shoot!! 🎬🙏🏻💖

Thanks again to this small and mighty crew for making it all possible, Patryk and Natalia for making everything look stunning, and special thanks to @kyle_krysanski for delivering us a therapy office set as well as @jeremy.koz for letting me turn the house upside down. Thank you to @lanaswayzephotography for the beautiful BTS! Much love to all 💕.

Getting ready for the Keyless cast & crew screening, looking at pics from our circus day over a YEAR AGO!

I have so much BTS so I’m just going to start with this shoot day. Thanks to @artdigitalmedia for these photos! 💖

This scene was filmed with the incredible aerialists at Prairie Circus Arts. @aerialryn @tiaunistarr Technically, we could have shot it anywhere, but after getting to know @_mariavolk and @sadie.gis through an aerial hoop class, I wanted to see what we could pull off if everyone was up for it and went from there.💖

Keyless is a short thriller I wrote about a woman who goes on a date with a man who turns out to be an incel.

It was my first project as a writer/producer, and I learned a ton (because I had a ton to learn & still do). Buuut it was also the project where I learned how much I love independent film and working on a common goal with creative and skilled collaborators. ✨

For months, I had the pleasure of collaborating with and then being directed by @karate_sandwiches , which I would do again in a heartbeat! I’m very excited for all the exciting things she has coming up!

Swipe for more words!

A couple snaps from a quick day trip for my first Gimli International Film Fest experience!

Had to snag a selfie with @gimlifilm alumni & certified poster child 👼@rach_beau ✨💜 Always so good when I get to see ya!

Not pictured is another talented filmmaker & makeup artist @lisadianerueckert who was just waking up from a beach nap but thnx to you both for making me feel welcome (& getting me in a cool party)! 👯‍♀️

B4 that I had a great time time bopping around with @patrykszmidtdp & @mooneye_design catching films and discussing ideas 💡!! Excited to work with you both again.

V excited to come back next year and hopefully do the whole meal deal. 🎥 ✨ by @swayzekara

A day late and a bonnet short. 🌻🌾 Happy release day to all who were involved in Season 1 of Little House on the Prairie.

Working as the Showrunner’s Assistant, and getting to observe the creation of a show from the ground up was a privilege I won’t soon forget.

Congrats to my boss, and everyone’s boss Rebecca Sonnenshine for taking an iconic book series and the rich history of the American West and creating something of its very own, something many people will hold dear to their heart for years to come.🪄🌾

The hardwork, dedication and stamina it takes to lead a project of this scale is hard to comprehend without seeing it firsthand, and I learned so much from this entire process. Thank you.

Things on Season 2 will look a little different, (looks like they got that parking spot figured out) but I am thrilled to be back on the prairie with this incredible crew. 🌾🌻🫶 by @swayzekara
