🕊️ Honoring a Legendary Coach. Honoring an Extraordinary Legacy.

The DeKalb County School District joins the Southwest DeKalb High School community in remembering the life of Coach William “Buck” Godfrey.

For 30 years, Coach Godfrey inspired generations of student-athletes through leadership, mentorship, discipline, and a belief in every student’s potential. His impact extended well beyond the football field and continues to live on through the lives he helped shape.

His accomplishments include 273 career victories, a state championship, 13 region titles, induction into the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame, and the naming of Buck Godfrey Stadium in recognition of his lifelong service to students and the @swdpanthers community.

His legacy will continue to inspire Panthers for years to come.
