MEET THE FOUNDER 👇🏼 I’ve spent most of my life in this sport. First as an athlete chasing my own goals. Now as a coach helping the next generation chase theirs. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate enough to learn from some incredible coaches, champions and mentors. A lifetime of competing and learning from some of the best in the sport has taught me one lesson I’m determined to pass on: Champions are built long before the title is won. They’re built on the days nobody is watching. In the hard moments. In the losses. When things aren’t going their way. When motivation disappears and discipline has to take over. That’s why I built the Sweat Equity Team. I’m here to develop athletes who are strong, disciplined, confident and prepared. Physically and Mentally. Athletes who know how to set a goal, make a plan, embrace hard things and perform when the pressure is on. Yes, I want to build champion athletes. But more importantly, I want to build champion character. Because eventually, every athlete competes for the last time. The season ends. The medals get put away. But the person they become along the way stays with them for life. That’s what it’s all about. Welcome to the Sweat Equity Team. -Coach Labate by @sweatequityteam
Athlete to Coach👇🏼 Wrestling has given me more than I would have ever imagined. The wins were great, but it was the losses, the struggles, the hard practices and the people I met along the way that shaped who I am. Now I get to pass it on. That’s why I built the Sweat Equity Team. To give athletes the training, structure, accountability and guidance I know makes a difference. Get stronger. Become more disciplined. Build real confidence. Learn how to prepare the right way, physically and mentally. My goal is simple: To help the next generation find out what they’re truly capable of. If you’re ready to commit 100%. Shoot me a DM. — Coach Labate . . . . . #athletemindset #championmindset #wrestlingmindset #athletemotivation #athletemotivation by @sweatequityteam

Shoutout to the athletes who keep showing up👇🏼 The ones who embrace the work. Who understand that progress is earned, not given. Every time they show up, these athletes are building discipline, confidence, resilience, and the willingness to do hard things. Champions aren’t made on competition day. They’re built through the work nobody sees. Proud of every athlete who walks through those doors ready to get better. Every athlete has a choice: Easy now, hard later? OR Hard now, easy later? The ones who choose hard now are the ones building the confidence to step onto the mat this season knowing they’ve done the work. Confidence isn’t something you hope for. It’s something you earn. LET’S KEEP WORKING 💪🏼 #wrestlingtraining #athletetraining #hardnoweasylater #strengthandconditioning #wrestlingseason by @sweatequityteam

WHY SINGLE ARM MOVEMENTS👇🏼 Strength isn’t just about how much weight you can move. It’s about how effectively you can apply that strength when it’s time to perform. Single arm training is a critical part of developing a complete athlete. We don’t just train movements to get stronger in the gym. We train movements that translate to better performance on the mat. Every exercise has a purpose, and we coach our guys to perform these exercises with INTENT. This is how we get the best possible results from each athlete. 📩 DM “READY” to take your S&C training to the next level. . . . . . #athletetraining #wrestlingstrength #strengthandconditioning #athletedevelopment #wrestlingtraining by @sweatequityteam

WHY WE FIND OUR MAX👇🏼 It’s more than a number on the bar. It tells us where an athlete is today so we can train with purpose and measure how far they’ve come. We use that starting point to choose appropriate training loads, build strength over time, and retest to see what the work has produced. Just as important, an athlete gets to experience something they couldn’t do before. The goal isn’t to chase a max every workout. The goal is to take what we learn, get back to work, and keep improving. Find your starting point. Then raise it. Inside our complete athlete development system, our athletes are breaking personal records and finding a new max every month. Consistently.
