Savor every moment as it flies by… Steady rhythm, joy, better live it, boy.

I cannot, nor would I want to, put into words how much this affected me. Dermot, you fully encapsulate the concept of Sonder… thank you for creating safe spaces for us to connect with you and with each other, and for promoting empathy and understanding in a world where it’s seemingly fading away.

“Just be so grateful for the love you’ve had, or the love you have.” @dermotkennedy

Ended up breaking into tears because, while you probably can’t see it (but it totally happened)- he did that thing where he makes intense eye contact with you and your souls become one for a moment. While talking, then again once he started singing. And of course, I was overcome by both memories and that connection and cried. THE DEFINITION of Sonder. Thanks for making me cry (again), Dermot. #dermotkennedy #sondertour #sonder #fifaf taken in Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre by @sweaterfordermot

So glad this encounter started off with Dermot complimenting Steve’s sweater instead of me doing something awkwardly Alexandraish. And yes the gnome was necessary. He’s been my pocket gnome since roughly 2008 and he likes to make special appearances during life’s special-est moments. And apparently M&G props are now my thing 👌 by @sweaterfordermot
