Autumn at the Swedish High Coast is something else... 🍂🇸🇪

If there’s one place in Sweden I keep coming back to for autumn photography, it’s Höga Kusten (the High Coast).

With its dramatic coastline, deep forests, rocky cliffs and endless shades of yellow, orange and red, it’s easily one of my favorite places to capture autumn colors in Sweden. 📸

What I love most is the contrast between the colorful forests and the deep blue waters of the Baltic Sea. Especially when the soft autumn light brings the entire landscape to life.

And the best part? There are so many beautiful places to explore, from the mountains of Skuleskogen National Park to the quiet coastal villages and hidden viewpoints along the coast.

Have you ever visited the Swedish High Coast in autumn? 🍁

POV: You found the little red house of your dreams in Sweden. 🇸🇪❤️

White fences, green windows, sunshine, and a little slice of Scandinavian magic. Sometimes, the simplest places are the most beautiful. ✨🏡

Would you live here?

The train can wait. I’m looking at the ceiling. 🚇🎨

Beneath Stockholm’s streets, blue silhouettes, fiery reds and painted rock turn a metro ride into an art adventure. Even the journey deserves a place in your camera roll.

Swipe to explore Stockholm underground. ✨

In the far north of Swedish Lapland, close to the Norwegian border, lies Vadvetjåkka — Sweden’s northernmost national park, with only around 100 visitors per year.

During my autumn trip to Lapland, I hiked from Kopparåsen towards the park and pitched my tent on a hill just outside its boundary, overlooking the incredible river delta surrounded by golden autumn forests 🏕️🍂.

I hiked back the following day, so I didn’t actually explore the park itself — but the journey there was already worth every step!

📍 Here a few tips if you’re planning to visit:

🥾 Getting there: Start at Kopparåsen along the E10, approximately 11 km from the park boundary.

🏕️ Camping: There are no tourist facilities inside the park, so come prepared and bring everything you need.

🗺️ Hiking: The terrain is remote, with no maintained trails inside the park. River crossings can be challenging, especially after heavy rainfall.

🍂 Best time: Summer is generally great for hiking, but late August and September offer beautiful autumn colors.

🚁 All drone photographs shown here were taken from outside the national park.

Would you hike all this way to experience a place like this? 🍂🏔️📸

I think it’s time we finally talk about how terrible Sweden is for landscape photography… 🇸🇪😅

No mountains. No waterfalls. Endless boring forests. Winters that are way too dark. And don’t even get me started on all those little islands and cabins everywhere.

Honestly, I don’t understand why I keep going outside with my camera. 📸

Jokes aside, after all these years of exploring Sweden, I’m still amazed by how incredibly diverse its landscapes are. From the dramatic mountains of Swedish Lapland to the rugged West Coast, ancient forests, remote islands and everything in between.

There’s always something new to discover, and that’s exactly what keeps me coming back.

So, did I convince you to stay away from Sweden? 😏🇸🇪 by @sweden_pic

Unpopular opinion: Gothenburg looks better in autumn!🍁

I know I might lose a few friends over this, but I said what I said!😅

Summer in Gothenburg is nice, but I think we can all agree that the city has a different personality once autumn kicks in!🍂

Give me wet streets, yellow and orange leaves, dark early afternoons, and some purple rain, then find a cozy coffee place and call it a day.

Maybe I just prefer Gothenburg when it is covered in golden leaves.

Be honest: summer or autumn?

Stockholm doesn’t need sunshine to be beautiful. 🤍 A ferry gliding across the water, autumn leaves framing the view, and a grey sky that makes the city feel a little quieter. 🍂 #thelagomdiaries #stockholm #sweden #kesfet #stockholmlife by @sweden_pic
