🚨 Every cut to healthcare represents a cut for one of us, a friend, family, or neighbor. Nebraska was the FIRST IN THE COUNTRY to reduce healthcare coverage for thousands of people. From new work requirements to changes in eligibility and federal healthcare funding, these changes will make it harder to impossible for us to keep our coverage and access the care they need. Join us this Monday October 26th, to discuss the next steps to defending all of our rights to healthcare! 🚨 THIS IS URGENT!

"I am working on it"
I promise I am listening! I promise I will loop back around! I want to see you, I want to see the whole world.

I promise I'm thinking about that important thing you told me and I would write back to tell you but there's another message in there I would have to respond to and there's just no time.
I swear twenty-four hours are not worth what they once were.
Everything in life has been rendered cheap and full of holes as has
everything in death.

I promise the second we held eye contact, whether you were a stranger or a lover, will stay with me forever. This they cannot take from us.

I promise I am working on it.

Tomorrow will come but I cannot promise it will be better. I cannot even promise it will come. I cannot promise the grooves in our brains can again flow like rivers. I cannot promise you will recognize the color green in the spring.
What kind of person promises something?

I promise: I am looking at your words in the preview so it doesn't show that I've seen your message and then I am thinking about you all day—yes, you! And you are doing it, too. We are perpetually aping each other, it
is what we are best at. by @swedishsummers

I made a cartoon with nearly these same words a number of years ago that has been popping up in my mentions, for reasons you might imagine. The Secretary of War declared last week that the US military would be live-streaming the execution of Nidal Hasan by firing squad. Elsewhere, the botched execution of Christa Pike. The Trump administration has since backpedaled on the livestream—perhaps too gruesome even for them, the optics of shooting a man in a wheelchair to death, regardless of what he did, a few weeks before a massive wave of HR1 cuts take effect across the country with the goal of kicking people off healthcare. They're doing the trial run in Nebraska already!

There was a mass shooting yesterday that I hardly even heard about.

In the worship of it, America desecrates death. So it bears repeating:
The death penalty is barbarism and it should be abolished everywhere. by @swedishsummers

Ravi Mangla gave an excellent guest lecture in Ritti Singh’s CCNY narrative course. The Right has a robust, powerful media infrastructure that we need to counter. But fear is one communications tactic that we on the Left should NOT borrow.

blessings for the thousands who died on 9/11 and the millions who died before and since in the American empire’s blunderings around the globe, blessings on the city of New York, blessings on my hot socialist Muslim mayor and his beautiful and talented wife, blessings upon all of our poor tired souls by @swedishsummers
