thinking about you today !!

I can’t count how many days and nights we spent lying on your couch, foot-to-foot, “grandpa joe style.” toes grazing one another while you knit the biggest blanket I’ve ever seen. eating Indian pizza and belly laughing. old makeup smeared, and voices gone hoarse from trying to sing metal at the karaoke spot the night before.

you were one of the few friends who could relate to my troubles at the time, and would be there to talk about it at the drop of a hat. you slipped into my life at a time when I felt isolated and trapped and stood by me, with warmth, until I was ready to escape. always encouraging me to stretch the boundaries of myself and surpass my own limitations.

genuinely one of the funniest, most resilient, and smartest, people I’ll ever meet; and quietly, one of the biggest hearts I’ve ever known. absolutely one of a kind character - I will be forever grateful to have been one of the people you allowed into your heart.

happy birthday kailee, rest easy, you deserve it<3 by @swedishsupertramp
