** Out January, 16th, 2026 **
SNATCH!131 SWEET REAPER - Still Nothing LP
SWEET REAPER return with Still Nothing, their long-awaited new album featuring eleven ultra-catchy punk rock songs from California’s favorite skeleton crew. Blending X-ray power pop, restless don’t-wanna-grow-up energy, and classic RAMONES-style drive with moody melodic turns, Still Nothing delivers sharp, addictive hooks that stick fast and don’t let go.
Drawing from the lineage of the DICKIES and the ZEROS while nodding to modern standouts like RADIOACTIVITY, BAD NERVES, SPITS, and the LILLINGTONS, SWEET REAPER specialize in lean, melodic punk elevated by Seth’s unmistakable vocal presence. The result is a record that feels immediate, timeless, and relentlessly replayable.
Still Nothing includes standout tracks such as “Walk Away,” “Motion,” “Sacrifice,” and “Ratchet,” among a tracklist where every song earns its place. The album was recorded by K. Tupper and J. Jerome, handled with full analog care, lacquer-cut, and mastered by Jeff Burke (MARKED MEN, RADIOACTIVITY, LOST BALLOONS).
Label trivia: SWEET REAPER now hold the record for most releases on ALIEN SNATCH!, cementing their status as true believers and longtime label favorites. Still Nothing also marks the band’s first album presented in proper sequence—an overdue and welcome return.
First pressing: 400 copies on black vinyl and 100 copies on clear red vinyl, including a double-sided insert. by @sweet.reaper

New SP solo out today! Listen/dload via sethpettersen.bandcamp.com and streaming everywhere!💚
———————————————
“Recognize” was written and performed by Seth Pettersen and recorded by Kyle Thompson @northernmost_boojum in Ojai, California, over a handful of days squeezed in between work and nursing school.

Lyrically, it deals with the anxiety, division, and uncertainty of living and working in today’s modern America— while hanging onto the idea that truth has a way of coming out in the end—that eventually, game recognizes game.

This song is for the people standing shoulder-to-shoulder when the walls are closing in. For the ones who stick around when the pressure’s on, when the world feels against you, and when the man comes knocking. It’s about loyalty, resilience, and having each other’s backs no matter what.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out for our album release show!
It meant a lot to see you all there.

Time is precious and everyone’s juggling a lot these days — which makes the response and support for Still Nothing that much more humbling and inspiring.

Making music and having opportunities to play live shows is a privilege and we are grateful to be able to share these songs with you.

We’ll be taking a little time to refocus on school and life for a minute but we hope to be back out playing more shows soon.

Special shoutout to our dearly departed friend Robert Mitchell for inspiring the video concept for ‘Sacrifice’ — pulling from a recurring character in his early filmmaking (Phineas, the skeleton marionette) — and for the DIY stamp art featured in the Still Nothing album art.

He encouraged and charged us up with his unique, creative spirit. Cheers, Rob!

Records will be going up on our Bandcamp (link in bio👆) soon — @nakedtimetapes cassettes are already up!
