The Blue Monkey.
The beginning of so many of my stories.
The place I met some of the most important people in my life.
It's felt impossible to make this post since the announcement of the bar's closing. It definitely is impossible to encapsulate what this place has meant to me in a single post. I spent ages 22-30 as a monkey girl and it was such a wonderfully chaotic place to step into adulthood. This dive bar raised me in so many ways and I'll remember and speak of it fondly forever. I'm so sad I didn't get a chance to get home and say goodbye in person but please know if we worked together here, went from regular to family here, or just shared a good time here, I love yall so much 💙💙💙
