I was admiring the stars early this morning here in the Hill Country, and it made me think about the skies way out west.

There are still places where it gets dark enough to see the Milky Way stretched across the sky & sometimes I wonder how different the night sky looks to us now than it did when we were kids. And then I think about how, for thousands of years before that, generation after generation looked up at essentially the same magnificent darkness.

I love the mountains and I love lush beautiful landscapes, but there is something about the desert that just makes you feel free.

Whether you’re running away there by yourself for a few quiet days…or running away together to get married under that enormous sky, there’s something pretty magical way out west ✨

Terlingua, Texas & Big Bend. One of our favorite places for an elopement adventure, and a corner of this world I hope stays wild, vast and free for generations to come.

A little Halloween wedding throwback now that October finally feels like Fall. 🖤

This little cold front and the dark skies this weekend gave me all the vibes. Dark and moody weddings, warm drinks, pumpkins, leaves, cozy spaces and just a little witchy magic.

To celebrate, here's a little throwback to one of my favorite weddings of all time. The couple was fun, the concept was fun, the design was fun and we had so much fun bringing it all together.

Every year, it happens.

After our busy spring wedding season starts to slow down, I finally catch up on all the office work I've been putting off, hibernate for a little while... and then the wanderlust kicks in.

I love home, but this time of year always has me dreaming about the next adventure. One of my favorite parts of what we do is helping couples turn a place they've always dreamed of into the most meaningful day of their lives. This is how #sweetfeverroams, a collaboration between @feverfewandco and @sweetleafphoto photography was born. Colorado. Costa Rica. The Pacific Northwest. Big Bend. Hawaii. We can be packed quickly!

I would go back to any of these places, but I've been dreaming of taking this experience across the pond. Picturing the dreamy arches of Ronda Spain, the magical green hills of Scotland or the whitewashed villages of the Greek Islands. I truly love getting to be both the elopement planner and travel planner for our couples, because it all becomes part of the celebration.

I feel like these photos capture Jackie and Eric's love and laughter perfectly. When they started planning their wedding, they didn't want a big production. They wanted their favorite people gathered together, kids splashing in the pool, conversations flowing, and a sweet ceremony, intentionally tucked right into the middle of what was meant to feel like a family summer vacation. And that's exactly what we created!

This was hands down one of the funniest ceremonies I've ever had the honor of being a part of. There was so much joy, so much laughter, and so much genuine connection between everyone there.

At one point, the groom referred to their family as "the home team," and you could instantly see why. The kind of people who make you feel welcome, loved, and lucky just to be in the room with them.

The best weddings aren't always the biggest ones. Sometimes they're just a backyard full of people who love each other deeply and aren't afraid to laugh together ❣️

My intention in creating @foxbirdgrove was simple: to offer our couples a place to check out of the world for a little while and sink in to each other.

A quiet space where time slows down, distractions fade, and the only thing that matters is the sacred vows being spoken between two people choosing one another. Just the two of them, tucked beneath the trees, coming home to each other.

What began as a pivot became something I fell completely in love with. When The Wildflower entered the pandemic and many of our larger weddings were postponed or reimagined, I was introduced to the world of elopements and everything about them felt aligned.

These intimate experiences allowed me to be fully present with each couple, intentionally creating moments that felt deeply personal and meaningful. In this, @feverfewandco was born.

About a year later, I realized I could combine this with another thing that brings me so much joy, travel, and open up a whole new way to serve our couples. That’s how @sweetleafphoto and I partnered to create #sweetfeverroams and our Wanderer Package.

This Big Bend elopement was everything we hoped it would be. Before entering the park, I facilitated an intention-setting ceremony: smudging with palo santo, heart-opening cacao, shared intentions, and a flower mandala in place of a traditional bouquet. From there, the day unfolded in adventure. Hikes, vows, a sotol toast, a picnic, and a desert sunset.

When people ask me what I do, sometimes I have a hard time explaining (or need along time to explain it!) which is why @chgcreativestx was created. But I now understand that this is what I do. I'm a a creator of places to gather & moments rooted in presence, connection, and meaning. I'm a faciltaor of making memories to last a lifetime.
