❤️ A Little Piece of Primitive Crafting History ❤️

Oh, how I miss Mercantile Gatherings! This wonderful magazine held such a special place in the hearts of so many of us who love primitive decorating, folk art, and handmade treasures.

I was truly honored to have several of my original designs featured in its pages. Looking back, I am so grateful for that opportunity and for all the wonderful memories connected to this beautiful magazine.

Today, I would love to share my Primitive Snow Angel Ornie, one of my original Sweetpea's Primitives designs from 2005. ☃️❤️

Her pattern and instructions are right here in this post — just swipe through and save each picture, and you can make a little snow angel of your own!

A few printing tips:
• Print on standard 8½" × 11" US Letter paper
• Choose Actual Size or 100% in your printer settings
• Do not select "Fit to Page" if you want to preserve the original pattern measurements
• Measure the 1-inch test square before cutting your fabric
You can also find her on my Facebook business page.

Please feel free to make her for yourself, for gifts for friends, or even a few to sell if you'd like. ❤️ All I ask is that you don't sell or pass along the pattern itself — just send your friends here so they can get their own copy.

If you remember Mercantile Gatherings, I would love to hear your memories in the comments! And please feel free to share this post with your fellow primitive friends who might enjoy making one, too. ❤️

Thank you for being here and for keeping the love of primitive folk art and handmade treasures alive!

With love,
Sweetpea's Primitives

A little old homestead charm... 🤎🌿
New primitive cupboards and my new Little Homestead Bell Wreaths are now in my Sweetpeas Primitives Etsy shop.
I love these little wreaths hanging on a cupboard door, but they're just as sweet displayed with an ironstone plate, vintage crock, old bowl or cutting board.

Happy Wednesday! I would love for you to meet my newest primitive deer, stitched and aged with love for the season. 🦌
Made from painted and stained fabric with real stick legs, a wool collar with rusty bells, and a vintage green army blanket trimmed in evergreen and a tin star.
He looks right at home tucked into a dough bowl, cupboard, or cozy farmhouse nook — the perfect touch of old-time Christmas charm. 🎄
Available in my Etsy shop.
