When your daughter (yes the same one who recommended I take a small thrift shopping hiatus for a bit) asks or go thrifting today for some swimsuit tops— let’s just say she didn’t have to twist my arm!!! 😂I didn’t want her to be overwhelmed because this @thriftgiant is HUGE, so we just focused on a small section at a time, starting with swimwear and athletic apparel, on to some tops and then t-shirts and pjs. This was the place to go on a Sunday though because of the 25% off sale for text members and also the other color tag markdowns. So basically everything was on sale. We found so many good things today! My faves:- the RALPH LAUREN PJ Pants (they were at the checkout line where someone must have put them back! SCORE!!)- a silver Revere bowl not pictured (you can actually see it in the cart when we are assessing our finds) - House of Harlow skirt - Tory Burch skort - Ted Baker tote bag - Juicy Couture bag- Vintage Liz Claiborne bag (not sure if it’s shown?)- More Cole Haan shoes (loafers)!What’s your favorite? The art of the quick thrift stop: know what to pass on. 💛I saw some cute stuff today but I’m trying to shop smarter — 30 minutes, in and out.9 items, $60 out the door. Takes one to know one… a shopper that is! 💗🌸SO proud that my daughter is learning the ways of some secondhand shopping. I’d say Uptown Cheapskate is a step UP from thrift stores based on pricing and the fact that they are selective about what they take. But I still consider this “thrifting” or just discount shopping for quality items. I love that she grabbed that Ralph Lauren Polo shirt, thinking of her mama, even if I do let her keep it for herself- lol! And buying her brother a shirt? 👕 Love that too! Half price Wednesday at Salvation Army — with an honest fabric check!Yes, I might have to walk back my “no buying polyester” rule now. I’m giving myself exceptions for:🧸 Ralph Lauren Teddy Bear PJ set M - $3 - tag cut out so prob poly but I COULDN’T. RESIST. I’ve been going to Trish for at least 8 years now! She does the BEST manis/pedis!! I requested this color (thanks to seeing it on Kimberly from @dear.mahj) — and Trish kindly got it for me. Eight times out of ten I’m using this color on my fingers. (The other times are most likely red or hot pink!) What’s your go-to nail polish color? Linking the OPI Polish version in my #LTK. Half off ALL TAGS at Thrift Giant = 6 items for $28.04!!My strategy today since it was *super crowded* and I only had about 45 minutes: hit the end caps first (where people put back the good stuff), then color scan the aisles. Sale day = no dressing rooms + no mirrors, so we just held stuff up over clothes!What I found: ❤️ Red 100% cotton smocked dress👔 Gap 100% cotton tailored shirt XL 🩳 Adidas skirt (don’t be afraid if it’s not your typical size- sometimes things have shrunk or been altered, or an elastic waist with drawstrings helps!)⛳️ 2 Travis Mathew men’s golf polos - one NWT! Red, White & Navy: How I packed 3 colors for 7 nights in Ireland 🇮🇪I stuck to 3 main colors — red, white & navy (not to be patriotic in another country) — because almost everything I already own just goes together and they’re my favorite colors lately. I wanted pieces that could mix and match. No overpacking (well, maybe a little!), and I could re-wear everything without feeling like I wore the same thing.What was in my Ireland capsule: white button-up, red RL button-up, striped tee, red tank, red dress, navy gingham dress, Ralph jeans, neutral skirt, navy striped wide-leg pants, Adidas Mary Janes, bow flats, red Archie’s flip flops, red and brown belts, plus red/navy scarf and (thrifted in Ireland) vintage scarf ring.What I’d change: Ireland was unseasonably warm (but no rain the whole trip — yay!) — I wish I'd packed shorts and linen pants and left 2 heavier sweaters at home! I didn’t get to wear those and they took up suitcase space.Of course I also thrifted WHILE in Ireland — found St. Vincent de Paul and KLAWS charity shops in Kenmare. A thrifter never stops. My best travel tip: have a color formula as your go-to for a mix-and-match travel capsule wardrobe and packing light over 50. Save this red white and navy formula for your fall travel — which was your fave, the red linen at the hedge arch or the gingham for high tea in Limerick? by @sweetsavorymama

Sharing a few mostly-thrifted outfits I packed for a quick 3 nights in Saratoga, NY. I love to mix high-low fashion, or some good quality thrifting finds mixed with some higher-end pieces OR just pieces I already owned. Let’s normalize wearing our outfits on repeat! Wear what you love.
