You wouldn’t settle for average quality fruit and veg from a supermarket when you can get better from a local produce store for almost the same price, so why settle for average coffee?

We get it, times are hard and every dollar counts, so as long as you’re enjoying your coffee then great!

Your coffee can support a multinational… or the roaster down the road. 👀☕️

When you buy from a small local roaster, you’re not just buying a bag of beans.

You’re supporting the people roasting it, packing your order, answering your questions and building a business in your own community.

For 20 years, we’ve been making coffee right here in Wollongong — focusing on fresh, quality coffee and the kind of personal service that comes with being a small local business.

There are plenty of big coffee brands to choose from.

We’re pretty grateful every time you choose the little roaster down the road instead. 🤎

Roasted locally. Enjoyed locally (and beyond).

Thanks for the kind words, Matt. 🙌

Haven’t tried Fifty Fifty yet? Maybe it’s time to see what the fuss is about. 👀

We are no weather experts, but roasting coffee here in Wollongong means we’re riding the same weather roller coaster as you .🎢

Whilst you probably can’t rely on the weather forecast as of late, you can rely on us to provide high quality coffee beans, freshly roasted in Wollongong.

#cuppingcoffee #cuppingcoffeeroaster #swellcoffee #qualitycoffee #simplygoodcoffee Ever wondered what **coffee cupping** actually is? ☕️

It’s one of the ways we taste and assess coffee — looking at things like aroma, flavour, acidity, sweetness, body and overall balance.

Ground coffee is placed into cups, hot water is added and the coffee is left to brew. Once the crust that forms on top is broken, we smell the aromas and then taste each coffee using a spoon — usually with a pretty enthusiastic slurp. 😂

Why the slurp? It helps spread the coffee across the palate and brings in air, making it easier to pick up different flavours and characteristics.

For us, cupping helps us understand each coffee, compare batches and make sure what we're roasting tastes the way we want it to.

Basically, **drinking coffee is part of the job.**

Tough gig. ☕️👀

This is the kind of review we LOVE ☕️🤎

Second bag of Coal Coast and already coming back for more. There’s something pretty special about finding your coffee — the one you look forward to every morning.

Thanks Hannah for supporting local and taking the time to share the love. It means a lot to our little Wollongong roastery.
