50% off sale continues. Scoop this @soulsummitchicago September 2018 party poster for half its O-riginal price. Stock is getting real low. 18x24, 3 color screen print, signed and numbered by yours truly. Link in bio. #swilldesign #poster #screenprinting #poster #soulsummit by @swilldesign
This one’s a hat tip to the “Black and Brown Trading Stamp Corporation” started in 1969 which was backed by James Brown and former Oakland Raiders football player Art Powell. The stamps were issued by Black merchants in Downtown Oakland to provide incentives to local patrons in the Black community. A full book of 50 pages of stamps was worth the equivalent of $3.00 in merchandise back then. The poster is from the June 2022 @soulsummitchicago with guest DJ @skemerichards. 18x24, 2 color screen print, signed and numbered by yours truly. Grab a print while I have the half off sale still ongoing! • Link to site in bio • #swilldesign #poster #screenprinting #poster #soulsummit by @swilldesign
I’ve always been a fan of object oriented simplicity. And it’s fun to mash up one thing into another for some visual interest. I loved DJing @soulsummitchicago with heaters in the upper atmosphere of BPMs during the peak of the party. Make’em sweat. This is actually one of my favorite posters because of those aforementioned things. From November of 2015 with guest DJ Monk One 18x24, 3 color screen print, signed and numbered by yours truly. Spotted in the wild! About 6 years ago I created a design for a @dustygroove t-shirt inspired by vintage music trade magazine and old phone book ads. They loved it so much I gave them rights to add to whatever merch they wanted to create. Tote bags, coin holders… it even became part of the physical store front here in Chicago. Fast forward to today and the shirt makes a big appearance in the release of “Neagley”, a Jack Reacher spin-off from @amazonmgmstudios starring @mariasten who makes it look great BTW! Only problem is that there are now a ton of bootleggers out there taking money out of Dusty’s pockets by stealing the design. Ef that. Get’em at their shop (no other store has the rights). Side note, I created the original Dusty Groove logo when they started out in the late 90s. #swilldesign #amazonprime #neagley #mariasten #tv by @swilldesign
