Yesterday 8.3.2026 was officially 3 years since I put down the bottles of booze and cans of brews !
🚫🍾🚮
Today I’m still feeling a bit wacky and life continues to be full of success, failures, parties, projects, lessons/emotions which I try my best to explain and explore as a filmmaker. Every year on this day I do hit pause on my life and lean into this feeling of immense gratitude towards : Myself, my uncle Mike Swanson who passed away after serving a legendary 2 years as my sponsor, my real friends, my family, my fellow artists/collaborators, the producers of my Movies, the theaters/venues who’ve screened my Movies, the small but loyal audience who keeps up with ‘The Patrick Dasheood Stories’, all the clients who’ve employed me to direct commercials, others such as: @ivanberko @eduardeaux_in_californio @plutoslastfinale @missmarymegan @rubiable @beewack To include everyone via 20 photos/tags is just impossible. Regardless, I’ve really been given unwavering encouragement and guidance to be present ( 🎁! ) and live life with my eyes wide open.
.
ABOVE ALL, I’m the most proud to publicly give thanks to my beautiful ladybug @sahhsy (shown in the 1st photo)She really lives here on the front lines with me - every day showing me the most pure, intimate, and supportive love that I’ve ever felt in all my life. 🥹💕🫂💪
.
It turns out that I’m a much better person/artist when I’m not ruthlessly drunk or secretly hunger over all the fucking time. Who would have thought!?
.
PS: If you’re still reading this modern day narcissistic need for approval, then please note that it IS a beautiful day here in my home city (NYC!) and as this long-ass winter starts to melt away, I do hope you go out and try to have a really good day instead of a really bad one! Be as nice to each other as you can. While the world is feeling so dark and that it can’t be saved by joy, love, or any amount of posts - REMEMBER! :With courage & hard work you CAN BRING JOY & LOVE to the world via the story of your own life! Beyond that, I have no solid advice. I will, however, continue to not drink alcohol, get some sleep, and work to better my craft as a filmmaker.
Thanks for reading along suckers! <3 taken in New York, New York by @swimswanson

BIG thanks to @raydoncreative & @terminal6ix for having/hosting me in studio these last few weeks <3 It was a certified great time and an honor getting to do my thing down in the lone star state. Excited to see some fruits-of-labor surfacing later this fall.
