Posture controls everything.

When hitters hold good posture, pitch location won’t matter. 🎯

Get your posture right ➔ force the barrel to work forward ➔ make pitch location irrelevant. ⚾️

Summer is where real adjustments get made.

Last lesson with Brooke before she heads to New York for @clarksonsoftball Over the last 2+ years, we’ve watched her grind, argue about swings 😅, then finally trust the process — and the growth has been real.

One of the hardest workers and biggest perfectionists out there. Clarkson got a good one indeed. Go kill it in New York, Brooke! 🙌🔥 taken in Infinite Hitting - Cypress by @swingwithj

Right to left footwork. Quick transfer. Quick throw.

Sometimes, as a coach, you have to physically show the move.
Some hitters are visual learners — and we tailor our teaching to every learning style.
We use video feedback 📹, physical feedback 🤝, and sometimes… we just shut up and show them. 👊

In this clip, we’re working on turning connected to stop at contact. To get a feel for our body starting the turn of the swing instead of our hands.

If this style of teaching makes sense to you, let’s get to work 📲

Lauryn Soeken | C/o 25’ | LSU Signee 🐯
•
Lauryn has been hitting with me for nearly two years. She was already a force at the plate, but we made a few adjustments to make her swing even smoother and more efficient.
•
She’s off to a hot start this season batting .404 with 7 Bombs already & she’s showing no signs of slowing down. Check out my stories to see how the rest of her senior season unfolds!
